Don't Complain About Gas Prices On The Shore
I made a trip to New York this past weekend and saw gas prices on the Jersey Turnpike at $2.91 and thought, gas prices that high in New Jersey, really??? Then we hit New York. The prices you see in white above are for CASH only. Add another ten cents for credit cards. The second picture is from Delaware and frankly I was surprised to see gas that low, ($2.35) a gallon while it's $2.57 in the Salisbury area. Delaware is usually higher. Anyhow, we actually have it pretty good here on the Shore.
Hey Joe, you up there visiting family in da Bronx?
ReplyDeleteremember its a law in jersey that they have to pump it, that helps drive the price up
ReplyDeleteIsn't it the $15 new minimum wage effect ?
ReplyDeleteNo, it's called greed 8:51
Delete8:41, Not true at all. Jersey has always pumped your gas for you and was always lower in price then Maryland. What drives the price of gas up there in NJ, NY & Conn. is LIBERAL TAXES! I have many family member and friend paying $12,000.00 to $15,000.00 a year in property taxes as well. I have one friend paying $52,000.00 a year in property taxes. Yes, that's a real number. It's no wonder when they "come here" and see the prices of homes and taxes they think it's cheap.
ReplyDeleteJoe's right. NJ has always been lower then MD. I spend a lot of time in the Garfield area. Was there last week it was 2.80 Headed back up shortly for a wedding tonight. Curious to see if it's gone up anymore.
ReplyDeletePlease tell them to stay away. Florida is where they want to go.
ReplyDeleteI moved CV to Florida recently and alit of my neighbors are fro NY.
DeleteYup, NY @(.43cents), NJ (.37 cents), MD (.33 cents) - Kind of tells you where we are headed!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are blaming the hike on "switching over to the summer blend." Problem is the prices have been going up since last Sept. That coincides with exactly the time they raised the gas tax. How they lie to the public and get away with it is what amazing. But NJ is full of low information imbecile democrats who believe all the BS rammed down their throats. Not only to they believe it like good little imbeciles they repeat "oh it's because the switchover to the summer blend."
ReplyDeleteTrump made a BAD MISTAKE by allowing 15% blend ethanol.
DeleteIn late fall prices will rise yet again due to the winter blend
DeleteIt was done to make the farmers happy $$$$$
DeleteThose prices aren't just in the NYC metro area. They're about the same in every town, village and hamlet in every one of the state's 62 counties.
ReplyDeleteSeveral Politians wants to blame the difference on the "gas tax" that they imposed. Nobody wants to blame the petroleum companies. The price is regulated by them and the cost does not rise and fall every day / week. That is price fixing also none as a monopoly by the corporations. There is no transition of blends "BS". These corporations have moved the transition dates to their benefit. Also there is a tremendous reserve in the US. Why are the petroleum companies selling over seas and cutting the US short, since the refining is done on US soil? GREED GREED GREED and Politians will do nothing.
ReplyDeleteDO YOU WANT A GOOD BELLY LAUGH
ReplyDeleteThe states tax fuel so they can maintain the roads?!?
Seems to me that the higher the fuel tax is, the worse the roads are.
Yeah I guess all those toll $$$ do nothing.
DeleteNJ's gas tax hike was a highway tax. A week after the tax was implemented the tax money was raided. Libtards!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you in NJ yet? What time is the wedding?
DeleteIt's over man, you missed it
DeleteYeah, people may move here for lower taxes, but they won't find those high paying jobs that allow them to pay those high taxes up north.
ReplyDeleteI get sick of hearing how the US is noe oil independent and is an exporter of oil. Yet our prices are steadily rising. Sounds like gouging to me!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaryland Gas Taxes go up every July now Thanks to the Legislature passing a law that they go up the same as the cost of Living every year. Now they don't have to vote on it any more. What's going to happen when the electric cars become in greater numbers. They pay no gas taxes.
ReplyDeleteAnnual mileage will be taxed. Dimocrats are working on that legislation right now
DeleteAlways amazed by the number of Americans that don't know the difference between the words "then" and "than."
ReplyDeleteNY is higher than even Hawaii's prices. I have no reason to visit NY, and if I was there, all I would want to do it get out. The city and its inhabitants are nothing but a human cesspool. Melting pot = cesspool.

Section 8 housing....and multiple high rises will surface in every nook and cranny
......soon....the Eastern Shore will be Suburban New York
Friends from Ireland remarked that the prices here are low, about half what they pay at home.
ReplyDeleteIt Noone complains > Gas will get Much Higher !!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know you have gotten old when your obsess over the weather and the price of gas.
ReplyDeleteTired of being RAPED by these Greedy gas/oil companys !!!
ReplyDeleteWe in America are Not Stupid > Gas should be capped @ 99cents per Gal !!! Period (and that's for High Test ) !!
At 99 cents they would STILL make plenty of $$$ !!! Fact
ReplyDeleteThey are Full of G R E E D !!!!
ReplyDeleteGovt needs to put Price Cap on it .....yesterday !!!
Those who say Don't Complain > You are the problem !!!
ReplyDeleteYou can buy My gas for the year then !!! You will then complain !!!!
You are the fuel company's best bud !!!
I would just like to know why West Ocean City is always cheaper than Salisbury for the last three years.
