"It's Scary"| About 500 kids converge on Inner Harbor, several arrested

BALTIMORE (WBFF) Six teenagers were arrested for either destruction of property or disorderly conduct, but police say no one was injured.

Video taken Saturday night shows some teens jumping on cars while others were seen assaulting someone.

Baltimore Police Col. Richard Worley, Chief of Patrol, says there were up to 500 young people who converged on downtown streets between 6:30 and 9:30pm.

"We basically monitored them as they moved through the harbor. The officers did an outstanding job and basically showed great restraint," said Col. Worley.

  1. "Kids" - "Teens" - "Young people" - "Youths".
How about telling it like it is?
That is one of the major problems today: The Politically Correct crowd has made it absolutely impossible to address the root of the situation.
Also, using these terminologies to call-out the perpetrators is not just about race only.
A good majority of those kids and teens and youths looked to me like they were well into their 20's - and older!

  2. Things don't change downtown ever since the mid-60's.
    Example:
Concerts by the Beach Boys; Beatles; Led Zep; Mama's & Papa's: NO riots ever.
Concerts by R&B groups: Riots and looting every time.
End result? ALL concerts cancelled at the Civic Center.

    1. Actually my first concert when I was about 12 was the Mama's and the Papa's. It was spring or sunfest. An older couple got up from their seats in the front row and started dancing. It was really cute. The police came over and made them sit down. Denny Doherty stopped the song and screamed, "Let them dance you f#####g pigs". I will never forget it.

  5. The FOP issued a statement for the police to stay vigilant, and the ACLU condemns that statement as racist! The ACLU basically admitted that they knew they were all black when they bashed the Fraternal Order of Police, who never stated any racist or inferred racism. What a bunch of idiots at the ACLU!

  6. Thanks to their Obamaphones they were all able to let each other know when to be downtown and to invite as many people as they could.

  9. LMAO! He used “outstanding job”and “great restraint” in the same sentence. WRONG! It was a black mob riot and police basically watched like they did when the mobs burned the CVS and police cars... It is not racist to say black crime is the downfall of Baltimore. Statistics prove it and bmore is a cesspool. The Baltimorons are moving to Salisbury in droves to escape the ghettos and be nearer to incarcerated family but just bringing the crime and low standards of living with them. Jakes plan is hotdogs and cotton candy. (Which in the true form of liberal pansies today, he will soon deem to be racist terms) 🙄

What teams would be left? And where would they go?

  11. Baltimore is off my list of destinations; I'm the wrong demographic to expose myself to that kind of mindless violence.

  12. Just read a piece in the Baltimore Sun that briefly mentioned that couple leaving a restaurant on Saturday night were stacked by a group of about 8-10 youths - the woman was beat so bad she nearly lost an eye! How come that is not on the national news warning people to stay out of Baltimore wth!

  14. Northwest Woodsman: Basically monitored and showed restraint? Now that is a novel way to manage a violent and unruly crowd of “teens”. Now they have determined a weakness they will further exploit. I suspect these “teens” are protected species.
