"Empire" actor Jussie Smollett was indicted Friday on 16 felony counts following his Chicago attack allegations.
Following the news, attorney Mark Geragos — who is representing Smollett — said in a statement obtained by Fox News that "the fact of an indictment was not unexpected."
"We knew that there is no way they would expose their evidence to a public airing and subject their witnesses to cross-examination," the statement continued. "What is unexpected, however, is the prosecutorial overkill in charging 16 separate counts against Jussie.

Dems will whine about the number of criminal counts, but if the shoe were on the other foot, they'd be clamoring for more charges.

Northwest Woodsman: Will be interesting watching the progress of this case. We have an all Marxist liberal cast of negros so it is difficult for me to have any faith that he will receive any sort of meaningful punishment for his actions.

ReplyDeleteGeragos has been one of those star attorneys who has no moral compass, it's all about service to the rich and attention for himself. He will make it a bigger media circus than it already is.
