Hmm: Larry Hogan Going to New Hampshire Next Month

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan will be going to New Hampshire next month, leading many to wonder whether the Republican governor is getting serious about taking on President Trump in 2020.

Hogan will be speaking at the Politics & Eggs event hosted by the New Hampshire Institute of Politics and the New England Council at Saint Anselm College in April, which “is a must-attend event for potential presidential candidates,” the Washington Post reports.

Hogan’s upcoming visit to New Hampshire, which is where the nation’s first primary is held, comes after reports that he hasn’t closed the door on mounting a primary challenge against Trump.

  1. If he runs in 2020 - who runs Maryland while he is campaigning? Oh, sorry I make him seem like he is governing Maryland - he's not. My bad.

  3. Run Larr run and you will find out just how few people support you. You got reelected because you were running against a terrible opponent. If you had real competition you might be sitting in the unemployment lines.

  6. He is keeping a very low profile about the prescription plan for the retired Md employees , he is just like the rest , full of promises . He'll give the teachers what they want , it's for the children .
The teachers need nothing they are the greedy MD employees.
Anybody heard anything about the prescription -plan?

  7. He has as much chance of becoming president as every American getting a free trip to the moon. Come to think of it the moon should be his next designation, at least Maryland would be rid of two of the worst Governors ever the first being O'Malley and the second Hogan. Both have made fools of themselves and disgraced Maryland by their incompetence.

  12. Larry, Larry, Larry! You have a job and the citizens of Maryland gave you a mandate to keep the pressure on the Dem overlords.

I voted for you twice, happily, but would not favor you vs. the President. Your best bet for any future political post is to be a successful Republican governor with a track record wresting back the state from radical Democrats. Being lumped in with Weld, Flake, Kasich, et al is not the path to future success.

Stick to your knitting here at home so that a Republican can succeed you in Annapolis. If you fail to stay the course, you fail Maryland and will undercut history's view of you.

  14. Hogan needs to stay in MD and get the bills in the Legislature that he promised in his campaign. Hogan has not done nothing he promised. Hogan will turn over the State to Frosh and the Democrats if he runs. Hogan has give them free rein anyhow.

  25. The only thing our Hogan could accomplish is a stint on a rerun of Hogan's Heroes. A real comedian so like his friend Fake Jake two birds of a feather just alike.
