We're Sorry But The Press Release Offered No Results

On February 14th, Delmar Middle and High School collaborated with the Delmar Police Department and Wicomico County Sheriff's Office to conduct a routine K-9 scan for controlled dangerous substances. Scans such as this are done from time to time as part of ensuring that schools are safe and drug free.

  2. I want to say this to ALL the negative feedback. I've been on both sides of the law and yes I was critical and condescending towards WCSO because I was living wrong. When you do the right thing and they see it they are a good group. With what they deal with on a daily basis( the bottom 1%) and the crime, drugs, illegals you should be thankful that you have a police department like WCSO.

  9. Why is a school in the State of Delaware being searched by Wicomico County Sheriff Officers from the State of Maryland instead of it being searched by the Sussex County Sheriff's office? Are there any schools in Maryland that are searched by another state's officers? I thought that each state should police themselves. This doesn't make sense to me. Can you explain it, Joe?

  10. WTF were they searching Delmar Middle and High School? They don't have jurisdiction in Delaware.

Why not go to Bennett, Parkside and WiHi?

Ummm... Are you sure you are smart enough to vote? There is no such thing as the Sussex County Sheriff's office. That department has on police powers and they are only paper servers and they only hold auctions for property.

  12. Those dogs can go to Oklahoma if the Sheriff's allows it and the jurisdiction involved request it. Stop watching t.v. you morons. I do not always agree with some of this stuff but at least make an educated argument. Great job I love the K-9 units. Dogs are not biased or prejudice they just do it because they love it. Keep of the great work ladies and gentlemen. Who is that child with a dog second from the right.

  13. 1:52 Thanks for this information. I did not know that some counties don't have sheriffs to police it. There are only 3 counties in all of Delaware. I find it odd that the State of Delaware would allow another state to interfere with their own policing. It seems to me that Maryland has enough of its own drugs to be found in its own state that it doesn't need to look in any another state to find some. I never claim to be educated or a voter for that matter even though my degree from Michigan State helped me vote for Trump and I'm still proud that I did. I didn't study law, but I have been pulled over by a sheriff or two in other states as I tend to drive too fast. I haven't had the pleasure of ever seeing a Sussex County Sheriff since we relocated our family here back in '03. I just find odd that any state would allow another state to police them. This is just another reason that I like looking at this local blogger website, I like to learn something new all the time. I still haven't read a reason that validates this story. There certainly is not a need for another state to do this. Maybe it's for training or just scaring the kids. I don't know, but I would like to hear more thoughts on this. Should Wicomico County be paying its officers to police another county's school in another state? Something just doesn't add. I hope you all have a great rest of your day. Thanks for reading.

  14. MD and DE share responsibility for the schools in Delmar, so yes they search it 11:35 it's funded by town of Delmar the Sussex kids can go to the elementary school (MD side) and the Wicomico kids can go to high school on the DE side because both are Delmar residents
