Md.'s Larry Hogan Not Ruling Out Primary Challenge to Trump

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan is not ruling out challenging President Donald Trump in the Republican primaries.

His comments came in an interview with CBS News.

Hogan is being encouraged by some anti-Trump conservative to go up against the president in the primaries, the network news noted.

"I was just sworn in a month ago for my second term … I've got a lot of work to do here in Maryland … I would say I'm being approached from a lot of different people and I guess the best way to put it is, I haven't thrown them out of my office.”

  2. great job, dipstick. Name me one Party that primaried their incumbent President in the last 100 years, and then won the national election - None!

Bush and Carter were primaried. The party lost.

Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Reagan, Clinton, W, and Obama were not primaried, and they won their second term.

The only think Hogan would be doing is getting a Democrat elected. But, that seems fitting - Trump has increased Black and Hispanic employment, but has hurt establishment beltway employment, and we can't have that!

  5. Larry. Please do not be an idiot. You have 0 chance at taking trump on. Stop letting the democrats in MD fill you with hot air. They would love to see you fail and fall flat on your face.

  9. He is another Barrack Hussain Obama. He will not go any where until he has totally ruined Maryland instead of improving MD. At least Trump has stuck to his campaign promises unlike the traitor Hogan.

  13. If Larry had done one thing to secure our second amendment rights in Maryland, I might consider him for president. But alas, that jackalope hasnt even lifted his fat finger to help. Well Larry, I’m lifting a fat finger towards you right now, guess which one it is.

  14. If someone is going to challenge Trump in the primaries, let it be Hogan. What a joke. Hogan is a piss-ant compared to the giant Trump. He will win about as much as Martin O'Malley did. And that was nothing right? The rest of the country's Republicans couldn't care less about a governor from Maryland, especially a Trump hating RINO.

  16. Hogan must be on drugs or something. But let him run. He wouldn't break double digits in any primary. But I hope he does run. He needs the slap down and the humiliation and we need the last laugh after what he does to the President.

  19. Stick to your knitting, Larry! If you have future elected aspirations run for US Senator. You'd be better than what's representing us now, and it's an election you could win.

But be the best semi-conservative Republican governor you can be until then!
