Catholic Clergy: Making Themselves Irrelevant

The beliefs of the Catholic Church are defined by two thousand years of careful writings and a slow process of understanding the revealed truths. This has brought us our Catechism, our Creed, encyclicals such as Humanae Vitae, and other solid references which provide a foundation for living well, especially in stressful times. One role of the clergy is to guide us Catholics in these teachings.

The Church is not defined by whatever a priest in Paducah happens to say on Tuesday, and its faithful are under no obligation to take direction from misguided clergy. But how do we determine when to ignore? For Catholics using their rational minds and their God-given free will, it’s been happening for centuries. Some (unfortunately) leave the church altogether, some walk to the next parish over, and some simply ignore the bad advice and view their priest as just a delivery vehicle for the sacraments. Sadly, what we’re seeing now is an unprecedented amount of incompetence, and it exists at all levels of the church.

Let’s start at the top. Pope Francis continues to astound the Catholic faithful with his ridiculous, fact-denying comments, from global warming as the world’s most pressing problem, to his undying support of soul-deadening socialism/communism, to his purge of pro-life advocates within the Vatican, to his intentionally nebulous writings on serious matters of faith, to his most recent act of squelching the U.S. bishops in their efforts to address the child abuse problem within their ranks. Some could argue we’re expecting too much from this man, given the stellar theological minds which occupied his position the prior 30 years. But I disagree -- we’re simply asking for several logical statements, based on fact, not feelings, which can hold up to the scrutiny of an intelligent high-school senior. His inability to hit this low bar drives Catholics to ignore him.

  1. It all started with this Pope we have today. He's one of those LIBUTARDS who doesn't think clearly when it comes to common sense. Instead of staying in with the teachings of the church. He continues to inject his views on the world stage that doesn't have anything to do with his job. He's for open borders. Telling people to understand the gay and transgender people. WTF is wrong with him?? Singing prayers. More concerned with illegal immigrants than the FULL TERM ABORTIONS NY and VA want to impose. From the beginning I've been scratching my head as to why his predecessor retired and how he became Pope. Never before have we had a Pope from South America. The ENTIRE situation sticks!!

  3. I was born and raised Catholic. Went to Catholic school. But I stopped going to MASS along with others. Why can't we have a traditional MASS?? No singing and dancing. You sing on the way in. You sing at communion. You sing on the way out. Make a MASS for converts. Make a mass for the singer's and dancers. Make a MASS for the 10 generation old school traditional. STOP KISSING the ENTIRE south American population. They have their own MASS. WHY??? That's why the Catholic Church is failing.

  4. The Catholic Church is THE most corrupt organization in ANY religious context, including those total idiots in the "Church" of Scientology.
Why don't they sell the BILLIONS of dollars they hold in gold, silver, art, and historical documents so they could feed all the starving kids they wish to feed and care for???
    Greed and vanity and pride.
Jesus is SO proud of them, especially the part where someone can BUY a dead person's way into heaven. I missed that part in the Bible, but it is, apparently, in the version of the Bible the Catholics use.
Now, even NUNS are being raped -- they couldn't just stop with little boys??
Is it a religion or a sexual predator club??
God is waiting for them and I don't think it's going to work out that well.
Try buying your way out of THAT.

    Keep cheering.

  5. REALLY 12:00?? It's only the Catholic Church with predators?? You just proved how smart you not. Your mad because you couldn't be a Catholic. You sound more like a Baptist. Where only the Catholic Church uses a bad Bible. LMAO. You seem to know so much about predator's. Maybe your one of them??

    KEEP cheering.

  6. Hit a nerve, did I??

    LOL.

By the way, smart guy (or girlie type guy, whatever), in the context you used, it's "you're", not "your".
You did it TWICE, too! Then, insulted MY intelligence??
Now let that little kid out of your (see how that's done??) basement and then tell us why the Catholics hold on to all that gold, silver, art, and historical documents while kids starve and freeze.
    If you can.
Go ahead and address the "buying your dead relatives into heaven" thing, too. What? God is down to his last twenty million???
Being so smart and all that.
Especially with grammar and spelling. LMAO.
