A Viewer Asks A Good/Fair Question

Is Joe A ok? Only ask because he hasn't made any comments recently and the flavor of the stories are not norm - meaning there are no LOCAL stories of late. Maybe its just the holiday season???? Signed bourbon in my cup on TGIF guy!

You are absolutely correct, something is/has been up. While I'll not to take the liberty to fully explain just what I'm up to I'll simply beat around the bush and say, IF you knew what I've been up to, (while still maintaining this Website) you'd be absolutely amazed.

I am on a major project that has to do with ME, for once. I run SBYNews on my own. I get to see and read every comment before moderation and I can comment if I so choose. I just haven't seen anything worth responding to. As for the "local" news, there just hasn't been much of it and after doing this for so many years, this happens all the time.

In fact, I have something personal happening this weekend in which I will be away. I'll have articles for Saturday but I probably won't post anything on Sunday.

As for what I've been up to, you will all know soon enough. I make no excuses. I'll simply say, no one I know works harder then I do, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

  3. Two weeks ago they raided a yellow house on the 1100 block of E Church St. Neighbor stated the place was surrounded with "guys with face masks". Drug bust.

Then last week in the evening some altercation happened and there was a car chase and the guy bailed and they found him hiding in the back yard of a house in the 1100 block of E Church St. I heard a commotion while I was baking and opened my back door to hear the cops shouting "show me your hands". Then they canvassed the neighborhood looking for something he must have discarded.

I heard they did a raid somewhere else and arrested a guy and he escaped and is on the run. I didn't ask the particulars.

Keep up the good work guys!

I remember the days when the local paper / news was actually local and you were kept advised of what was going on in your community. Not here. And this was going on before Day and Ireton. Whats her face started it trying to hide and disarm the community.

This bs puts you at risk every single day.

  9. For the most part the tradition has been Joe, you are the local dectective, breaking newsworthy stories dealing with local government and politicians, which became the main attraction of Salisbury News. This ingredient in the opinion of many should be maintained in order to maintain the quality and attractiveness of your site. If it means that you must employ assistance in order to maintain this worthy objective, you may want to consider it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  10. It has become obvious to faithful followers of your blog, that you seem to be “overloaded” . We know you can do only so much, but even your delay in responding to comments leads to decreased dialogue betweeen readers. You may want to consider raising your ad fees to help fund additional help. We appreciate you Joe and know you cannot do it all. Merry Chistmas to you and your family.

  12. As the editor says...love him or hate him. I for one don't know the blog owner but we introduced one another at a event years ago. I don't know anything about the time consumption that is put in this blog, but can only imagine. A lot of information is put out each day and people it is not costing us a penny. So, if the owner wants to work many hours or few hours it is appreciated on my end. This is a place where conservative views may be posted, which is harder to find each day due to the left wing nuts. I also like the fact that lost animals are posted here and the biggest percent seem to be back at home in no time. I am not a animal owner, but I really appreciate that service to the community. Thank you for the opportunity to throw in my two cents. Thank you for your service to us readers and Merry Christmas to you and your family Mr. Albero.

  14. Remember Rosenfelds is at the Airport.

They advertised they validate for parking. No they don't. Because county council, for months, have not approved the request - even though they proposed it when the restaurant came on board.

You will need an additional $3 to eat your lunch, at the airport, for an hour.

Ridiculous. Someone from council owes me $3.

  15. I heard a rumor that you were the local business owner that won like $200 million in one of those huge lotteries in the past 6 months and that why you got quiet. I found out just last week it was a restaurant guy who had a share in a ticket bought out of the area. I still see that same guy doing his own grocery shopping at Walmart every week. Some people are just lucky i guess. Well sorry it wasnt you that hit the lottery and i hope you keep up the great work.
