CA Priest Removed From Parish After Sermon About Sex Abuse Scandal

A young priest was expelled from his California parish last week after he gave a heartfelt sermon on the sexual abuse scandal currently rocking the Catholic Church.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Father Juan Carlos Gavancho said that he was given a laundry list of mostly petty reasons for his dismissal but believed the real reason was his homily.

  1. Wow he has faith, but the institution God built is corrupted by men. It Will be saved if its rightous or it may not be.
Its This Diversity push that is destroying us. Its the wrong angle thats being used. It a weapon of mass Hatred. Ultimately ignoring GODS word. We have allowed the luciferian ideology to permeate every aspect of our lives that's the big danger. Who on that side of the fence is brave enough to face that?

in our modern culture, the focus on diversity can become its own god. Diversity itself is revered rather than the One who created that diversity. An emphasis on diversity tends to highlight our differences. God is more concerned with unity (Ephesians 4:3). Galatians 3:28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” God is saying that our differences are not what should define the children of God. Those who belong to the Lord Jesus should first define themselves as God’s children. We must be willing to set diversity aside in favor of unity in spirit. Jesus’ passionate prayer in John 17shows that His desire for His disciples was that “they may be one as you and I are one” (verse 22).

  3. So I guess that we leave the "old school" regime in charge of fixing the perv problem they allowed and created. Are you ....nuts or drunk? Any person who seeks and promotes the truth is above what the idea of clerical standards should be. I'm entitled to my opinion and that is F the church for protecting the perv priests. Catholic charities does a wonderful job of helping people but the church has cancer that is killing it. Hey St. Francis church where do you stand on this issue? Or are you going to remain silent.
