Comedian Kathy Griffin tweeted out a profanity-laden criticism of first lady Melania Trump after she released a statement calling for a bipartisan effort for immigration reform so that children of illegal immigrants would not have to be separated from their families anymore when they crossed the U.S. border, the Washington Examiner reported on Sunday.
In the tweet, Griffin said "F--- you, Melanie. You know damn well your husband can end this immediately... you feckless complicit piece of s---."
Griffin's deliberate misspelling of the first lady’s first name was alluding to a May tweet from Trump in which he spelled his wife's name that way, while the use of "feckless" was apparently a reference to Samantha Bee's criticism of Ivanka Trump as a "feckless c---" on her show in May, according to Fox News.

I can't believe you refer to her as a "lady." She can be called lots of things, but lady is not one of them. Melania Trump is a lady, and a First Lady of our country, no less. Griffin is the antithesis of being a lady, as noted by her actions and words. Ladies do not speak and act as she does. Do not besmirch all ladies by calling Griffin a lady.
