GONE! Tim Tebow hits home run on first pitch

Tim Tebow hit a three-run home run in his first at-bat Thursday evening for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

The homer, on his first pitch, gave the Ponies a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning against the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium.

Tebow's ninth professional home run came on the first pitch from Teddy Stankiewicz. It was a no-doubter over Warner's Gas sign in right field. Stankiewicz walked the previous two hitters.

Tebow hit seventh and played left field in the first Double-A game in the New York Mets organization.

  2. I hope he makes it to the bigs. A fine man with many talents. And a Christian.

  3. Was given a bad rap because of his conservative and religious beliefs. Great role model and he will be successful in life!

  4. Rumble Ponies. Great name.

  5. Obviously the Dogs weren’t throwing their ace. 5-0 in the first! Additionally, the 7 spot doesn’t exactly reflect confidence in a batters ability.

  6. His outspoken religious believes have nothing to do with his place in baseball. If he were actually able to help a major league team win ballgames he would have a job.
