Governor Hogan Posted This On Facebook Thursday

This afternoon, sadly these 29 members of the Senate voted against making our schools safer. Our plan called for $125 million from casino revenues for immediate school safety improvements and $50 million per year for things like mental health counselors and school safety officers. We need to take concrete steps to protect our students. We will continue to push this common sense measure in the House. Call your delegates and tell them to include this increased funding from casino revenues to keep our children safe.

  1. How much are the casinos putting into the "No's" campaign funds?

  3. Casino's have no say where the money they provide the state goes... I'm sure they would like to give the state much less, but that's beside the point.

Hogan provided a revenue plan for MD's part of Metro and DC/VA followed; now has provided a very common and sensible plan to add more to schools (improvements/safety and such). I know he'll do something to piss us off again, but am liking what I'm seeing - ONLY from a sensible standpoint.

Don't get me wrong, we STILL PAY way to much in taxes and he needs to continue to address that with the old Blue farts in the legislature.

It's an election year Dumb A$$!! There were 16 yeas and 29 nays.

"Mr. President" Senator Mike Miller gave his boy Lying Jim permission to vote with the yeas because they clearly had enough nays. That is how it works for Lying Jim's voting.

  5. One of the Nay votes was Senator Cheryl Kagan, the Dyke that claims a Lobbyist was touching her bottom. I believe that is just an attention-getting story because it's well known that Kagan is a lesbian and this Lobbyist doesn't want her. He knows better.

She is voting to put your child in harm's way.

  6. Hogan has become a Rhino. Would it not be cheaper to suspend the trouble makers. Keep it out of our schools. Common sense one can go to any middle school and spot the oncoming trouble. They just choose to leave no school shooter behind.

  9. The money from the casinos was promoted to be designated for MD schools and now you have votes to not spend the money on schools but for Democrats pork barrel spending. What is this?
