Trump Rips Sen. Blumenthal's Fake Vietnam Status: 'Single Greatest Fraud That I’ve Seen of Anybody That Ran for Office'

Without naming him, President Donald Trump ripped Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) Thursday for lying about his military record, saying the Connecticut senator “defrauded the whole world with his Vietnam status.”

The president made his comments while responding to John Frey, state representative and Connecticut National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee (RNC), during a Q&A session at the Winter RNC meeting in Washington, DC.

Earlier in the event, the White House press pool was escorted out, cutting the broadcast coverage of Trump’s speech short, but Breitbart News obtained a copy of the event’s audio.

“How about your senator who defrauded the whole world with his Vietnam status?” Trump said after Frey mentioned the state’s governor.

“When I was in [unclear Vietnam] province…” Trump continued — pretending to be Blumenthal, who for years, misrepresented his military service until exposed in 2010 by theNew York Times.

“Guy never went to Vietnam!” Trump said. “And then he won the race. He’s a fr– And then I watch him on television.”

“I do not like what I see on [unclear],” Trump said in a proper voice, again impersonating the senator.

  1. This guy really frosts my a$$!,, I was an army reconnaissance pilot in Vietnam for thirty months, getting shot at every day and this clown has the nerve to pretend that he served in combat. What an a$$. I have an article in Flight Journal describing one of my last flights in country before being sent home a couple of weeks early because, according to my commander, crewmembers didn’t want to fly with me because “my luck had run out”. True story. I found my emergency leave order when I recently was applying for VA benefits. Look up Lady Ace 72 on google and you will get the full story. I spent over two hours looking for a downed marine aircrew in an area where they had been shot down by a missile. I ended up with 13 Air Medals, a Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart and a Bronze Star for hanging it out every day to save US lives on the ground. I think I have earned the right to despise clowns that make false claims about their military service. I don’t belong to any veterans groups because I have never met a Vietnam vet who was a cook, baker, mechanic, or clerk. Seems like everyone was special ops, special forces, seals, etc. I’m really fed up with posers!

  2. One more point, I was contacted by the author of the Lady Ace 72 for my input and since I still had my maps and notes from that day, he was able to complete the article. He is writing a book about the rescue and wants to try and have it made into a movie. Doubt that will ever happen as publishers, producers and directors are not interested in military stories and deeds in combat. I have subsequently met the surviving marine pilot and he has come up here to Washington state to meet me. I’m still emotional about this even though over forty years have past. Something about risking your life in combat to save others stays with you forever.

  7. I worked for years with a Vietnam vet who claimed he was a medic with a paratrooper unit.
At work he couldn't do any basic math that involved adding or subtracting. I always wondered how could he issue medicine when he can't even do basic math. Later I met a person who was in Nam with him and said his job was actually to keep the motor pool floors clean. I really don't hold anything against him as he actually did serve his country. I guess most of us want to be a hero in one way or another.

  8. Please read the story of the downing of US Marine helicopter call sign “ Lady Ace 72”. The whole story is oavailable on google. I was a shy kid who graduated from Snow Hill high school and after three semesters at what was then Salisbury State Teachers College, joined the army and over a few years was commissioned through infantry OCS and then went through fixed wing flight school. Found out later that as a pilot I had a seven times greater chance of being killed than an infantry officer.didnt expect to see my 30th birthday.

This guy saw how much mileage Traitor John McCain was getting from claiming to be a War hero, so he just copied him.
