  1. Of course, since there is also mandatory military service, she also knows how to use that gun!

  2. Yes and everyone goes in the military and is trained to handle a weapon. Here, not so much.

    1. They would have to give up their "stress" dog. You know the people who take their animals to restuarants grocery stores etc. The ones who have no idea what life is all about but are the first to tell you.

  4. Nationalism is the language of Israel, spoken by all of its citizens. Not so much here.

  7. Last I checked , there are armed Deputies in the schools. Do we really want MORE access to guns in our schools

    1. When I worked at a Defense department near Ft Belvoir, not the post, you would see rifles at every entrance. You also had your possessions screened before you got in the building. Everyone wore ID around their neck. Did I mention bearers ever where to slow traffic down to a crawl. Now that is security.

  9. People over there have respect for themselves and country. Here it is fading away.

  10. Seems to me that we should take close look at how school security works in other countries around the globe, maybe we are missing something critical.

  11. This is positively the only was to protect the children inside. Congress can pass all the laws they can but it will never stop these horrible crimes. There will always be deranged people in our society and there is no way to find out all of them. If that coach could have been packing a weapon this idiot would no doubt be killed before he committed so much carnage. Wake up there is only so much congress or the President can do. Just look at all the laws on the books now and see how much crime is stopped before it happens.

  12. 10:58 11:00 when did you two geniuses serve? Don't remember seeing you there

  13. YES we need more guns IN the schools and people know how to use them. Without something/someone to protect our students they are like "sitting Ducks" or shooting fish in a barrel.
Schools need to be protected by weapons and people who know how to use them.

  16. Israel protects their kids. That's something our bloated, overpaid, overspending, tax dollar sucking government should be doing. But nooooo, out FBI is ignoring, yes, ignoring threats to our children, while they pursue bogus claims against our President, and those claims are not a threat to anyone. Somebody's head should roll (maybe many heads) at the FBI for such a blatant security failure that is not only negligent, but displays a total incompetence by those at the top of the FBI. Our government is ALLOWING our kids to be killed in our schools, while many politicians just see these shootings as an OPPORTUNITY for political capital in their quest to overturn the 2nd amendment, that was designed to limit the power of government over it's citizens. Democrats don't want our kids to quit being killed, rather they want more shootings until they disarm all law abiding citizens. Our government is broken, and perhaps Donald J. Trump is out last hope to start cleaning it up.

  17. OUR government allows our kids to be killed in schools with gun free zones, and do not provide security for our kids. Seems crazy, doesn't it? But you've got to remember, it is the government (mostly Democrats) that wants to disarm all law abiding citizens, and they think school shootings will help them achieve their goal. Believe it or not, Democrats think school shootings are a good thing that help them and their political careers. They have no interest in addressing the root cause of school shootings, and do not care about dead kids, except how they can use them for their political ambitions. Stay tuned, more of our dead kids to follow.

  18. Tasers for Teachers is the way to go !!! Effective

    February 20, 2018 at 8:44 PM:

Let's see, hmmmm, tasers effective for a range of about 10 feet, a gun is effective at 100 yards to 1000 yards, depending on the weapon. You don't bring a taser to a gun fight, duh. What teacher in their right mind is going to charge at an armed gunman shooting at them, with a taser?

8:44 PM, Your's is a foolish notion. Lethal force MUST be met with lethal force!

  19. Want to save our children in school? SHOOT BACK!!!!! Can't wait for our government to save them. As they proved in the Florida shooting, our government is incompetent in providing security for our kids. The schools and teachers themselves have to provide the security for our kids. Our kids need a front line defense from a shooter, not some bloated federal bureaucracy in Washington DC, that ignores threats made on our children, and allows the shooting to take place. Perhaps they ignored the threat in order to promote a political agenda. Given the politicization of the FBI, it wouldn't surprise me.

  20. So, the shooter takes out the guard (with a slung rifle, not ready to use) first, then the kids.

And what gun control laws and mental health regs do they have there that could be the main reason?

  21. But why are there so many starving people in Israel,as shown many times each day on Fox News?
