Luntz Shocked As Alabamians Back Roy Moore in Vice News Focus Group

MONTGOMERY, Alabama — Frank Luntz, a GOP establishment messaging consultant, was visibly flabbergasted as every single one of his focus group participants in a Birmingham area Vice News-produced panel backed Judge Roy Moore for U.S. Senate.

Titled “Why These Alabama Voters Are Sticking By Roy Moore,” Luntz’s Vice News focus group aired on Vice News Tonight on Dec. 8 on HBO.

“Are you all Christians here?” Luntz opens the seven-and-a-half-minute long segment. “Yes,” all of the focus group participants, who joined Luntz in a Birmingham area restaurant, replied.

“Is Roy Moore a good Christian?” he followed up.

“Yes,” one woman replied. “Absolutely,” another said.

“Absolutely?” Luntz followed up in disbelief. “Yes,” the woman shot back. “Without any doubt whatsoever?” Luntz asked again.

After some more back and forth, a man in the focus group spoke up.

  1. I asw that piece and that fat turd Luntz is not flabbergasted he is acting surprised, and poorly i would add.

  3. It's easy to see what's going on here: it's about credibility. The Alabama voters are seeing homegrown - Roy Moore as more credible than the Soros, MSM, Hollywood backed Jones. That's it. Plain and simple.
They know that keeping that senate seat red is way more important than what might have happened 30 years ago.
Why would Luntz or anyone be surprised? The same people who are surprised all voted for Hillary. Obviously, they don't have their fingers on he pulse of Americas heartland.

  4. I just, no. A 30+ year old has no business hitting on children. 14? 16? Half his age. It would have been the 1970's when this happened... not some way back past time where it was appropriate for 30+ year old men to hit on teenagers. It was wrong then, and it's wrong now.

What do you think his intent was? Just because he didn't get past 1st base doesn't mean he wasn't trying to hit a home run.

This is completely absurd. This man is not fit for office. Period.

All the mental gymnastics in the world can't make this o.k. You want your teenage daughter having a 30 year old sniffing around them?

This is insane. I can not for the life of me figure out how these people square this circle.

No proof of evidence, just lies and lies. Why didnt this Nelson woman come forward earlier? It wouldn't be because Judge Moore put her brother behind bars for commiting crime, would it? Nice try Fake News liberals, your lies got exposed again.

  5. Innocent until proven guilty.
And as someone said, "no charges have been filed." So Roy Moore is supposed to fight this in the court of public opinion only? With a leftist media?

  6. 8:53 I totally agree with you. I would not want a 30 year old hitting on my 15 year old. But that is not the problem you have. Your problem is blabbing on about what you don't know to be true. If you are a straight male and I tell people you are queer as a two dollar bill, how would that make you fell when everyone states you are queer when you're not. Please wake up. Just as a democrat will do anything to get a democrat in office, I would vote for the good judge because he would have to be better than a democrat shitting everything up. Thank you for your understanding.
