A lawyer for Aaron Hernandez said Thursday that the former NFL player — who committed suicide in prison — had suffered from a “severe” case of the degenerative brain disease CTE.
The attorney said that an autopsy showed that Hernandez, who died at 27 while serving life in prison, had a disease common in players called chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

ReplyDeleteHe made the conscious decision to play football, knowing the risks. Everyone out on the field tomorrow in all the games, know the risks, and they keep playing. It's all about money and fame, until it isn't anymore, then the families are crying the blues and contacting lawyers. Regardless, he murdered a man. He knew exactly what he was doing - he just thought he was above the law. Guess now everyone in the NFL can murder someone and blame it on encephalopathy.

So Sad. Too bad all these autopsies are being explained away and/or ignored.
