A Viewer Writes: New City Website

Has anyone see this ridiculous new city website? All I wanted to know was how Bulk Trash Pickup worked I have a broken lawn mower to dispose of. Go ahead, try and find it. I don't know who the idiot was that put together this website but all it is, is a commercial for Jake's ventures. It's not geared for the citizens. You can not easily find anything you are looking for. I gave you the link to "citizen services". What a joke. Are these the only services us citizens are approved to know of? Hate this boy more and more each and every day.

  1. Trash is now under "field operations". What a laugh.

  2. All the way over on the right, you have to go to menu, then department, then field operations.

You are right. He is more interested in promoting his ridiculous ventures than making information easily accessible to the citizens. All he wants from you is your money. Other than that it appears he doesn't care what you think, because the obvious layout of the website is promoting himself and secondary to that is public information.

  3. LOL Check it out. Another Day hose job. Boy do the snake oil salesmen have his number. A fool and his money but too bad it's tax payers he is wasting.
That is the most unprofessional website ever. Perfect for Day as he is so not professional. That logo looks like crap. This is why Sby is a mess. Day settles for less instead of demanding near perfection.
The dope sure has that rebranding nonsense he fell for displayed prominently.
Anyway bulk pick up can be found under Field Operations. He's so into rebranding and it makes him feel all warm and fuzzy so he had to rebrand what should be known as Solid Waste as Field Operations.

  4. The new liberal agenda seems to be about "me" and " how me is a "victim of ______ ( fill in the blank with whatever is trending)!"

  5. Did anyone notice the big search bar across the top of the web pages? All I did was type "bulk" into the search bar and the first thing that popped up was the trash pick up page. Easy Peasy.

  6. 10:45 why thank you one of the Jakettes. But I was not aware that 1 push mower was "bulk".

  7. So what is the "Comfortable Side of Coastal"?? Is it the oil tanks, low income (art) housing high rise and Sec 8 housing along the Wicomico and Fitzwater as the picture indicates? You mask that picture all you want.

  8. 11:42 AM thanks for the chuckle. They put out a bunch of videos showing the wonderful BROWN riverfront, the dug up Main St., and other dilapidated areas, probably hoping no one would bother to put if on pause at full screen to see it. DOH!

  9. If you really want a laugh, click on the freedom of information request link and ask for the (non-existent) credentials of Jake's hand picked staff.

  11. The site was meant to be simple. Instead, it became cryptic.

  13. Jake Day is a "figure head" "puppet". He is being told what to do and say. Who takes a job making $25,000.00 a year to be mayor. He has to be receiving money under the table from supporters like: Perdue, Gillis-Gilkerson etc. to promote their agendas. He is not smart enough to bring any significant thought or improvement to this area. He is a liberal puppet and is a fool; NO ONE LIKES HIM except him.
