Investigative Reporting Or BS?

Some might even say it's manufacturing news.

This morning WBOC claimed they FOUND this story on social media, (change.org) but you and I both know that's a load of crap.

Some Liberal Snowflake fed WBOC this take down this confederate marker story. I just love how they make such a BS story even bigger by using words like HEATED on the Internet.

So why no statement from Boy Mayor Jake Day or County Executive Bob Culver? I can see Culver now, Oh blow it out your..... nose. WBOC's response, CUT!

Hey WBOC, how many rapes have there been in Salisbury this year? Now that's a story!

Update: Boy Mayor Jake Day just signed the petition.

  3. The confederate war was not his only battle.

John Henry Winder was a career United States Army officer who served with distinction during the Mexican War. He later served as a Confederate general officer during the American Civil War. Wikipedia
Born: February 21, 1800, Somerset County, MD
Died: February 7, 1865, Florence, SC
    Education: United States Military Academy
Battles/wars: Mexican War: Battle of Contreras; Battle of Churubusco; Battle for Mexico City; American Civil War

  4. This is run by SURJ and its founder is James Yamakawa

He is the white guy that hangs out in front of SU - WITH HIS KIDS IN TOW - holding up a black lives matter sign.

He is trying to find a way to make himself relevant in the cruel world

I find it inappropriate and disgusting that our Mayor signed this ridiculous petition.

If James and Jake bothered to google John Henry Winder, he would find he had a disguised military career

  12. I guess that the next " hissy fit " that the snowflakes have will be to have the cannon removed from the park because it is a weapon that is designed to kill....or just a big gun and we all know that guns kill people and not the people who use them...snickering here

  13. This plaque shouldn't have gone up in the first place to commemorate the man whose actions killed thousands of captured Union soldiers and sailors in CSA prison camps. Nor should a street have been named after him.

    2. At least one officer under his command was found guilty of murder of prisoners of war and was hanged for it. Winder knew what was going on and was, by virtue of command, also responsible.

  14. They don't report much useful news. They are obsessed with the Smyrna prison riot from months ago and last night showed the Humane Society drop off for donations multiple times in the broadcast. That's not news.

  15. So, in the interest of re-writing American history; should we remove all signs and information concerning Harriett Tubman and the Underground Railway?
One could argue that these tributes acknowledge atrocities, and as such, are offensive in nature.
The liberal left is creating a divide in the country that I do not think will end well for all.

  25. Winder was born in 1802 in Somerset County, which was divided in 1866 (the year he died of a heart attack) to include Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico counties. The family plantation, which was lost after his father's death, was somewhere not far from Salisbury.

  27. Liberals just trying to erase the past... its part of our history like it or not... and by the way the slaves that were brought here were sold by black slave owners in Africa but I guess that's ok...democrats were against the civil rights of blacks. democrats started the KKK.... they are the racist...

  28. The Winder petition story is still on the WBOC site but since it was a news item on 6/8 it is no longer their "front page" so to speak. It angers me when a couple of protesters demand the removal of historical markers/statues. I have to wonder how many were even aware the marker was there and had actually read it. I have no doubt every statue and marker in the US someone would fine offensive. Winder did not commit his so called crimes during our life time. He was a "hometown boy" in somebody's eyes who was famous enough to deserve a historical sign. Perhaps a marker could be raised beside Winder's stating "James Yamakawa, the protester who is so offended by 150 year old history he eradicates it. "

Aww... You poor little snow flake. You have no idea what you are talking about.

So I see you forgot to mention this little tidbit! You one sided libtard!

"Prisons often engendered conditions more horrible than those on the battlefield. The Union's Fort Delaware was dubbed "The Fort Delaware Death Pen," while Elmira prison in New York saw nearly a 25 percent mortality rate."
