Will Maryland Pioneer Offshore Wind Farming in America?

  1. Like building your house on shifting sand, the foundation and justifications for these large projects are built on lies. Climate change is a lie and used as an excuse to invest in unrealistic ventures. Poor Air quality in baltimore isnt from generating electricity, rather tightly packed cars and factories....much like this steel producer they want to fire back up {the same people complaining about poor air quality} Wind and solar are not advanced enough to give a return from this expensive investment. Without subsides its a flop. The only "green energy" it will produce is large amounts of money, taxes...to float this farce... citizens of MD will pay dearly for much less energy...all for show, even the corrupt electric rate laws they just passed are to fund parts of this project because it cant possibly bring enough return on the dollars spent.
More grants, more subsidies, more taxes, more lies.

  2. What a load of HOT AIR! Even HOT WATER! Wind farms gonna save Baltimore and the planet. Meanwhile, the West Coast unsustainable farms are being dismantled.

  3. Just wow. Look in these peoples' eyes, not a self thinking brain among them. Then, children reading imagined speculation of the future with big words they can't even pronounce much less understand, and all the adults in the room nodding their heads in agreement thinking, "Well, if the children think so, then it must be good for us, too."

Pathetic, and all these adults vote...

  4. Sacrificing Ocean City for Baltimore...time for shore officials to ensure this turbines are far enough away to not be seen.
Another sad fact, wind and solar are only being built because of the false premise of climate change. Reality is CO2 increases were turbines are installed.

  5. "Here’s a quiz; no conferring. To the nearest whole number, what percentage of the world’s energy consumption was supplied by wind power in 2014, the last year for which there are reliable figures? Was it 20 per cent, 10 per cent or 5 per cent? None of the above: it was 0 per cent. That is to say, to the nearest whole number, there is still no wind power on Earth.
Even put together, wind and photovoltaic solar are supplying less than 1 per cent of global energy demand. From the International Energy Agency’s 2016 Key Renewables Trends, we can see that wind provided 0.46 per cent of global energy consumption in 2014, and solar and tide combined provided 0.35 per cent. Remember this is total energy, not just electricity, which is less than a fifth of all final energy, the rest being the solid, gaseous, and liquid fuels that do the heavy lifting for heat, transport and industry."

  6. I think they failed to mention that the 2 companies will be getting ratepayer subsides. This means our electric bills will be going UP!

  7. How do you climate change doesn't exist? It has only been in the last 50 to 100 years that there has been an industrial revolution. There have never been the amount of cars/trucks ever in history like this. Chemicals that have never existed before have been pumped into the land, water and air. The rates of cancer have exponentially increased over the past 50 years. Earth has had life on it for 100 million years but our actions have only been around for a century. Again, how do or can you know what effects our recent action will have in the next 100-200 years. A very republican voter with two science degrees.

  9. I would like to know how much it costs and how much fuel will be used to build, transport and construct it and just how long before it produces its own worth.

  10. my electric was 593 & change for the month of March & I wasn't home for 3 weeks.
    hope rates don't increase AGAIN!
