Known for his Southern Rock band, the Allman Brothers, Gregg and his brother Duane (who preceded him death after a fatal motorcycle accident in 1971) formed their band and had several hits throughout the early to mid-Seventies.
Allman underwent a liver transplant in 2010 long after being diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 1999. He passed away in his Savannah, Georgia home after struggling for many years with various health issues.
RIP Gregg
ReplyDeleteYou really don't get these cats are all old now. We see them in videos from yesteryear and think they'll be forever young when they are actually quite old. Not that 69 is old by today's standards, but it's always weird to see their ages. We always look at them as 20-somethings. RIP Gregg. Thanks for sharing your music!
ReplyDeleteThey're dying all the time but as long as their music provides the soundtracks of our lives, they live on forever.
