This Women’s Perspective!

I really have a hard time understanding the purpose of this women’s movement.

Why do these women think that staying home from work is an answer to anything? How would they feel if all men decided to stay home from work? What would happen if there were no police that day and they were robbed or raped? What if their child needed an emergency appendectomy and there was no women surgeon there that day to operate? What if an important piece of mail was not delivered because the mail carrier was a male? What would happen if you missed a job opportunity because the bus driver didn’t drive his route that day? What would happen if the ambulance didn’t show up at the scene of your family members car accident? The same would go for the women causing havoc on people’s lives for absolutely no reason but their own selfishness.

I started in the car business in 1977 when there were no women in it. Sure, I had my share of men looking down their noses at me. I had my share of them telling me a split tail would never run a store. I had my share of advances made. It sure as hell didn’t stop me from achieving my goals. I didn’t focus on what they said I couldn’t do, I focused on what I could. I chose a business in sales because there was no salary ceiling. You were paid on the job you did, not on a given salary. There was a risk but I could earn whatever I worked for. The automobile business provides an equal opportunity for everyone and anyone willing to work hard. Just as the United States of America does. Even more so for minorities with small business and education loans and grants to equal the playing field.

Woman won the right to vote almost 100 years ago. What the heck are some still complaining about? I believe if you set yourself apart like this then you obviously still think you aren’t equal.

And let me say this. God didn’t put everyone on this earth to be the same. He gave us all different talents and abilities to make the whole world perfect. If we all were musicians who would farm or be doctors and lawyers. Every single one of us has different talents. He made a male with more muscle and stronger bodies, he made females softer and able to carry children and give birth. We don’t demand the NBA draft Vietnamese men because it isn’t fair to only have black men on the team. We don’t demand that they draft women. Now if a woman could compete at that level, God bless her. Let her. But it hasn’t happened yet. And NO we shouldn’t make home plate bigger. And NO we shouldn’t make more rules to make things more fair. God made things perfectly fair. We were born for a reason with the talents we have. Use your God given talents to contribute to the world and stop trying to be something you aren’t! If we have to take from someone else to get something, then that in itself isn’t fair.

Hell, I don’t even agree with saying buy from a female owned business tomorrow and I own many. If I don’t compete to earn your business, I don’t deserve to earn it. Period, plain and simple.

If you want to truly be equal in a field you chose to compete in……. then play the game with the rules that exist. Changing the rules to allow you to play just means you never were equal. Play something else!

There are two things I will NEVER be able to do in this lifetime… Sing and throw a baseball. I promise I will never ask anyone to lower the standards so that I may do either at a competitive level.

I will be the best I can be every day with talents the dear Lord gave me and I will never take from another to gain for myself. I will give back to those more unfortunate then myself and help my fellow man in any way I can.

I do not see gender nor do I see color, I see the soul that God allowed to walk the earth. I love each soul as if they were a part of me as they are made from the same light of our Lord.

I know where I will be tomorrow, sitting at my desk being the responsible human being I am. Here for my customers, here for my employees, and here for anyone who might need a car dealer on Wednesday March 8, 2017.

    1. It's NOT all teachers! I'm a teacher, a woman AND I worked today! I'm treated fairly well at my job, but more importantly, I needed to be there for my students! WOW! Oh and all of the teachers, female and male, that I work with showed up! Worry about you and stop putting all of a group in one category!

  12. This will have the liberal left going crazy, it takes away their lame excuses for whining. They are playing follow the leader, not thinking for themselves anymore. I think it is ridiculous and actually has the opposite effect. Makes them look silly and makes me against whatever they are whining about.

  21. I applaud Sandy and can testify personally that she has worked hard and has achieved many successes. It's certainly her right to not support or otherwise advocate for women's issues that may be important to others. I hope that Sandy does however respect the opinions and advocacies of others that do chose to speak or act out for women's rights. I also hope that Sandy rejects misogyny and those who have and will show disrespect to women.

  24. On the other hand, Soros has proven that there are some really stupid, weak principled women in this world that you only need to toss some money their way to make fools of themselves.

  25. Wow, now that is a woman! A confident, self-sufficient, hard-working American. No, I do not resent her because I am a male. I am proud for her. Her ability to set goals and work for them is what has provided her opportunities. Not affirmative action and gender based guilt tripping. She represents what America is about and is a fine example that you can, for the most part, achieve success in this country. But you have to work for it - not ask the government and society to provide it to you because you whine loud enough and long enough.

  26. Sales is a really good job for women and there isn't a glass ceiling in sales. My daughter is in science and has been published and still fights the glass ceiling. So I guess if you want to be a hero on this day you should be out selling cars.

  27. As a woman who worked today, Amen! I've never felt held back in healthcare because of my gender. I'm thankful I live in a nation that provides me with the opportunity to excel in my career.

  31. "I really have a hard time understanding the purpose of this women’s movement."
"What the heck are some still complaining about?"

I have a piece of advice. Sit down and ask these questions, without prejudice, without bias. Sit down and ask these questions. Have this discussion with the very people you oppose. Ask them to show you evidence. Ask them to support their point. Read the evidence. Listen to the evidence without bias or prejudice.

Perhaps if you'd just shut up and listen, you'd have an easier time understanding a subject you, as made evident by this post, understand very little.

Ask that God you so keep touting to grant you the tolerance you lack, the understanding you seek, and to bless you with lots, and lots of logic.

    2. Where did she say she opposed their beliefs. I believe her letter did just what you said ...she is asking what they are marching for?? As a woman I agree 100% with what she said. I can tell by your comment you probably participated in today's March. Most women I see at these events seem to be angry, bitter women. I will pray to MY God for you.

    3. Go away. What Sandy said speaks for MOST working women. When President Trump was elected what did you lose?

  32. Look, I have no problem with a negative comment. However, if you are going to do so, Sandy put a lot of herself out there in this article. If you want to challenge her, USE YOUR DAMN NAME or it will be rejected, in case you hadn't noticed.

I have never in my life met a more outstanding businesswoman. If you have an INDIVIDUAL issue with a buying experience, CALL HER personally and if there's one thing I can assure you of, she WILL call you back if she's too busy at the time and or she'll simply take your call.

I think you all know me well enough, I don't throw out compliments very often. Sandy is a person of her word but you cannot fix something you are not aware of.

  38. 5:48pm. Prejudice? Bias? Yeah the world is full of both for good reason. Trying to pretend they dont exist is idiocy. Furthermore there is nothing wrong with either of them. Maybe you have heard the story about the old woman that finds a sick snack and nurses it back to health only to have the snack bite and kill her? Same story. Just because you have fooled yourself into thinking something does not make it reality. It only makes you delusional. I am so sick of weak people like yourself. No real man cares about what you this rediculous show of time wasting and real women are disgusted by your over inflated sense of self worth. Your strike effected my life by exactly 0%. Good job.

  39. Great article. as a women where I worked stated." you cannot gain respect by being disrespectful". Somebody depended on you today and
    you let them down!

  40. While this tells a good story, wait until she approaches and realizes what happens to you when you become a "senior" in this area. Personally, I am pretty sharp still and carry a Johns Hopkins engineering degree. My boss is a former bartender and he overseas my duties of a bus driver locally. I have applied for positions in various fields since I moved here but.....

While what she says is true, it certainly doesn't tell the entire story.

Been there, done it, and still doing it. It is what it is.....

  41. 2:27. No we don't have to respect the opinions of liberal feminists. Stop trying to cram your nonsense down our throats. We American women are the luckiest on the planet. There is nothing that a woman in this county cannot do. Stop whining.

  43. Oh my how crazy has this become can't wait until all blue collar white men take a day off then we'll see what would happen. Hats off to all the ladies that put there responsibilities ahead of the self centered craziness.

  44. I worked today too, although I support the women's movement. However, there were people depending on me (and not my coworkers, bosses, or family). Just remember this. Without women, there would be no men.
