Salisbury Festival To Return June 2 Thru 4th

While it was Council Presidents like Mike Dunn and Jake Day who eliminated the 4th of July and Salisbury Festival, both have chosen to bring them back after years of hiatus. Hero's, I think not.

In the past there has been an incredible amount of Police presence, overtime pay and Gangs hanging out throughout the Downtown area. So what's going to be different this go around, nothing.

It never ceases to amaze me how Mayor Jake Day continues to do these "feel good" things but in reality you can't even go to PRMC without multiple people getting assaulted and even raped. Yes, the Mayor is supposed to bring new and exciting things to their communities, I get that. However, with the track record of this particular event it proves Mayor Day does not have the ability to think out of the box and instead chose to simply change the name/title of the same old, same old.

So it begs the question, will you be attending with your children, especially at night?

  2. I won't be attending the Salisbury Festival. I didn't go to 3rd Friday last night. I don't go to 1st Saturday. I don't go to the city council meetings. I rarely go to the mall anymore. Most of what I need I will order it online. F Fake Jake Day, Jim Ireton and especially that gay swinger Mike Dunn.

Speaking of Mike Dunn who was the idiot or idiots that made him the CEO of the Greater Salisbury Committee?

Speaking of the Greater Salisbury Committee, WTH is it?

  3. You can't make this stuff up. These people have nothing under their belt and push crap as liberals do. As stated "feel good" is a good description. Speaking of feel good, I sure hope Mr. Parsons is getting on the mend after having the hell beat out of him after attending a city circus meeting.

  4. Open your minds and don't waste time trying to destroy an event before it happens. If you choose not to go, so be it. It is sad that you won't go because you don't like people who are working to make it a pleasant experience.

Have you considered supporting, helping, and taking pride or have you decided you want the event to fail?

    1. Having feel good events are being held to make it look like the downtown plaza is a place to go. It's the only time anyone goes it's not safe, parking is horrible have to walk every where. And another section 8 housing unit will only make it worse. It's affecting PRMC now. They are break-in to cars and assaulting people, and they stop you begging for money. Not enough security and not well lit either

  8. It went rapidly downhill before being discontinued. Vendors paid high rates to set up displays and they killed off the car show. Was little reason to bother stopping by.

  9. I agree with 1:14. The tone of this post is that you hope it will fail and you will be right. Rather than sitting around complaining and predicting all that might go wrong, volunteer to help make it a great event.

  10. 1:14, Are you freakin serious? WTF has Salisbury done for the TAXPAYERS outside of taxing the living crap out of everyone, offering no services and fining people for grass too tall, weeds in their sidewalks, mold on your house and snow not removed fast enough?

The City of Salisbury can kiss you know what. I think the taxpayers have given more then enough. Hence why I sold my Downtown Plaza building.

  11. @11:37 you nailed it!! Mr Dunn has had some pretty outrageous behavior with the "swinging" side of Salisbury's social crowd

  17. I do not go there because of the lousy gangsta wanna be's all over the place. They go there just to strut their wanna be men selves and play tough guy and forget the ho's. Nasty, nasty people.

  18. Let Day's Section 8 crowd go, the city doesn't want middle class people's money so I'm inclined to let them have their Christmas wish. If you want to go to some nice festivals, seek out the ones in Berlin, Pocomoke and other areas. Salisbury's hell hole is for slum tenants only. No crackers need apply.
