Far from acclimating to President Trump, Democrats are growing even more resistant, claiming they won the first month under the administration and predicting a string of victories in coming months as they increase their level of obstruction.
Egged on by their political base, which has demanded that no Trump policy go unopposed, Democratic leaders said they erected historic roadblocks to the Cabinet and have thrown a wrench into Republican plans to repeal Obamacare.
“We Democrats are steeled for the fight, and it’s already paying dividends,” said Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat. “Frankly, we had a better first month than I think most would have imagined.”

Correct on both counts. And it's wonderful that they've chosen to demonstrate their character flaws in such a flagrant way that nobody with a pulse could possibly miss it..

ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Chuckie is correct -- the first month has been worse for Trump than anticipated, largely because of his tweets and other actions and some real embarrassments -- such as the Flynn fiasco, Conway's careless talk and a press officer, Spicer, who resembles a high school sophmore.
ReplyDeleteNow it is important that Trump act carefully and decisively to sustain the big momentum push from his brilliant State of the Union speech and resist making rash statements about the Sessions imbroglio and other rough patches.
