ReplyDeleteI have watched and it's non conclusive. A lot of people won't see it this way because of the way it's presented but when you listen carefully you will see the truth.
ReplyDeleteFor instance methane migration has been an issue in NE PA for many decades and isn't tied directly to gas drilling. That's not to say it isn't but there isn't any proof other then what some believe.
Also there has yet to be a case where fracking conclusively has led to contaminated drinking water. The EPA only *thinks* that it *can* after an investigation that has gone on for years and is still ongoing.
Gasland is a environmentalist propaganda movie. Like the lighting of the tap water. It was proven that the man's well had been drilled into a natural gas pocket and had nothing to do with fracking. This happens at times even in places no where near fracking. But they don't tell you this.
ReplyDeleteThe movie also out and out tells falsehoods. They claim the industry is exempt from the Clean Air/Clean Water Act. This is 100 100 100 percent false. That should tell viewers something right their about the honesty of the movie.
In TX where the mayor blamed his health issues on fracking-proven untrue. The state proved that the residents exposure to contaminates was not any greater then that of the US public.
The list in endless but the bottom line is the movie is propaganda. Do you own research is the best and don't rely on those with an agenda to tell you the "facts."
LOL thank you for following my advice on the fracking thread. Told ya. Now maybe the rest of the pro fracking idiots will listen, instead of ignorantly whining about the state not making money. (which they won't, nobody does except for the utility)
