The bill quashes the Office of Surface Mining's Stream Protection Rule, a regulation to protect waterways from coal mining waste that officials finalized in December.
The legislation is the second Trump has signed into law ending an Obama-era environmental regulation. On Tuesday, he signed a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution undoing a financial disclosure requirement for energy companies.

Putting Americans back to work! Yes, pollution needs to be curbed, but not at the expense of the destruction of our economy. With a healthy, working economy, new methods of mining will be financed and new methods of protecting our environment will be affordable and productive.

ReplyDeleteThis is something West Virginia and our coal mining states needed those people need the jobs and support of this country. There has been uses for coal in other countries not just for heat when can learn from other countries.
