WBOC Is All Over The Place On Snowfall Totals

Watched WBOC this morning. Their model says 1.9 inches. They showed two other models, a 4.5 and a 7.9. Guess they figure if they throw a range out of 2 to 8 they may get it right.

So, let's ALL be weathermen. Since they get to guess, how many inches do YOU think we'll get?

  1. I'll go with the National Weather Service. As a state employee, that is what we use. Got the shovels ready. A lot of hype about nothing! Be gone by Monday. This adds new meaning to the word "snowflake" !

  3. Well why don't you start first job by taking Dan picture down off there. He's not the morning weatherman. Also everyone's always bashing that man on here and I just get sick and tired of it. I don't care about the man's weather conditions not being exactly accurate God's in control of all of that but what I do get sick of seeing everyone on here talk bad about the man and no one even knows him that well. I've seen this man in action on a personal level and he is an all-around great person he also is one of the best fathers I've ever seen in my life the way he is in the way he treats his son that has disabilities. I like Dan and I like this site as well I just don't like everyone talking about him .

    3. He can be a good person, in another state, far away.

    4. He is being judged on his performance as a meteorologist, not on a personal level. He is absolutely horrible at predicting the weather. Maybe he needs to hang it up and work with disabled children if he is so great at that. Maybe that is his true calling in life but forecasting for the eastcoast is not his forte!

  5. I am very doubtful about the amount but totally disagree with the state employee!
The next few days are going to be frigid! If it does snow it will be here Monday as well, especially with wind gust at 30 mph.

  6. None, no snow will happen...

  7. From the looks of it, I'd be ready for 8-10". Looks like a snow cannon pointed right at the Shore. Blowing, too, so it will be a mess.

  11. The last time it snowed my wife just stood there looking thru the kitchen window. I thought to myself, if it gets much worse I might have to let her in.

  12. to 8:21 No, it won't melt until Tuesday.
to 8:29 I agree that he sounds like a very nice man, but he is PAID to predict the weather. He seems to have great difficulty with this. Maybe a change of careers is in order?
As for my prediction, over 3 inches. And that is as far as I'm willing to predict.

  14. 3.5 inches, but 8 foot drifts.

  15. I live in Delmar and I am going to say 8 inches and accompanying drifts of 2-3 feet when that 25 mph wind gets in the game. We usually get slammed when they up from the south. As to Dan, I truly dislike the guy. Not in his "personal life,", as I have no idea what his personal life is like. I know that he is employed as a WEATHERMAN and he is always WRONG. I check all the other stations for the actual weather and then click on WBOC just to see how wrong they are calling it. As a weatherman he sucks!!!!
