Former senator Mikulski joining Johns Hopkins faculty

BALTIMORE (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski will join the faculty at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

The university announced Thursday that the 80-year-old Mikulski will start next week as a professor of public policy and an adviser to university leaders.

Mikulski was the longest-serving woman in the history of Congress. The Baltimore native represented Maryland in the Senate for 30 years and retired earlier this month.

  2. O'malley did the same thing. He is a "well-paid'consultant to Johns Hopkins beginning the second week after he left the governor's mansion. I am sure he is working hard and earning every penny of his six figure salary. Not!

  9. Figured she was on 'the short list' for a no-show job. Speaks volumes about who Hopkins chooses to subsidize.
