A Time for Celebrating... Or Is It?

By Thornton Crowe

Yesterday, sitting at Salisbury University's graduation, I suspected Dr. Janet Dudley Eshbach would use the moment to preach her liberal values and that's exactly what she did in a moment meant to celebrate the graduates! While clandestinely intermingling her 'civility' remarks with accomplishment and a reminder to give money to their alma mater, she transformed the ceremony meant to celebrate into a momentary liberal jaunt many students have heard throughout their time at SU.

Graduation is a time-honored tradition designed to celebrate the academic achievements of graduating students and their families, yet, educators like Eshbach, always find a way to inject their political views, either through their own speeches or commencement speaker picks. (i.e. Michelle Obama and Matt Damon) With events like last spring when she quietly covered up two black students' tasteless race-baiting lynching picture in the old Blackwell Library, it is clear her civility remarks were aimed as a slam towards Trump supporters, thus, obliquely promoting violence against them. Because, after all, Trumpers are the ones responsible for all the unrest today in the Liberal mind.

Note: Wicomico County is RED!
Right now, 305 Trump State Electors are harassed daily with emails, letters and telephone calls from liberals threatening them personal harm as well as their families should they do their constitutional duty and vote for Donald Trump tomorrow as per their districts' votes. Last week, a group of B-list actors made their sham plea for the electors to vote for anyone but Trump as if playing the president on a television somehow makes one a US Constitution scholar or US Historian.

The Hamilton electors, headed by Nancy Pelosi's daughter (elector for California) Christine, has ranted on about this fake Russian hacking business after unnamed, unverified CIA source(s) stated this unverified, unproven allegation to the Washington Post. Coincidentally (and suspiciously,) this came after Stein's nefarious recount came up empty, with the exception of exposing Democrat cheating in Detroit and garnering more votes for Trump in Wisconsin than originally reported on Election Night.

Other acts of "civility" from the Left include a man being pulled from his car and beaten senselessly before his car was stolen as the perpetrators screamed, "He voted for Trump!" to onlookers. Additionally, over seven police officers have been murdered over the last month.

Let us not forget the night after the Election, there were paid agitators, rioting in such major cities like Seattle, Portland, and New York. Mostly comprised of "snowflake" college students, distraught about not getting their way, older "tolerant" Liberal activists also participated.

Dr. Janet Dudley Eshbach
President of Salisbury University
Yet, Dr. Dudley Eshbach had the audacity to exploit her position at a graduation to speak of civility. In a way, her speech condoned this liberal post-election insanity, while not being forthright and giving it her stamp of approval. In essence, she quietly advocated for this kind of 'protest', because as we all know, when the Left  preaches civility, they're referring to the mainstream media hype about Trump rather than the actions of the Left. Hence, Liberal hypocrisy abounds even in a 'safe' space like a graduation meant to celebrate a milestone in someone's life.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Dr. Dudley Eshbach!

  2. She received her degree from a Mexican papermill:

Look at what Wikipedia says: holds a doctorate in Hispanic literature from El Colegio de México. ... Her professional expertise is in international education, student recruitment, ...

And if you look at the surrounding landscape around the college - virtually every business has vanished - some to Mexico - and that is where her socialist identity really becomes apparent. All of these vast surrounding lands are now owned by the college - and - they are exempted from paying ANY TAXES!!! So in essence - the people of our County are being assessed for vast amounts of property that were formerly occupied by legitimate tax paying entities.

WHERE IS THE FREE PRESS TO REPORT THESE SEIZURES!!! And that's what they are - property seizures. It can only go on for so long before the decay will destroy the entire base.

  3. She has three houses, one at the beach, one in Salisbury, and the SU subsidized Presidential housing. Her salary is 220k+ how much better can one expect to get?

One can easily tell that she and her friend, Norm Conway are very well fed.

    2. I don't see a problem. Other University Presidents have same expenses that are free. Can you imagine what Duke, Harvard. Yale, Stanford, UMES, UMCP, UD, etc., Presidents are being paid? And I'm sure that their food, cars, gas, housing are free and they get paid a lot more than SU's president.

  4. This should've been a given especially when she has the students trapped for the last time to yammer on about her party's civility and tolerance. She embodies everything that's wrong with the looney left. They have no problem living the good life Right policies gets them but God forbid anyone else have the same shot to obtain all the glory and goodies. Would've thought she would be giving words of encouragement for the kids going out there in the real world looking at working in Starbucks or some other non-degree related part-time job because career jobs are scarce.

  5. It's a shame when people like this stifle kids from developing their own political views under some guise they're about humanity. It's sad to see.

  6. Think of the historic houses in Salisbury along Camden her efforts have destroyed to make way for more precious buildings. One PhD was awarded yesterday which is hardly a university of distinction, not only nationally but internationally, like she said during her um speech. How can Salisbury be distinct when their PhD programs are nil. What do they have on a doctorate level? Two PhD tracks? Education and Nursing. Hardly a university of distinction when compared to University of Maryland who has many. Plus they don't have official graduate housing. Just who do these people think they're kidding?

  9. 852 that's a ploy to get rich NYers and NJ people to spend their money here and nothing more. I've never seen this listed anywhere but their website. Their marks on Rate Your Professor aren't so great and most people complain about the college.

    1. Salisbury does not hold the record on complaints of hometown colleges. After living in other college towns during my lifetime, IMO, most people in the USA complain about the colleges in their towns. In fact, IMO, in only one college (Va Tech) where I have lived, has a great town/gown relationship. Blacksburg's population is smaller than the college, but the citizens learned to use the college to the town's advantage. Get out of the complaining mode, because the chip on your shoulder about a (fast growing) SU can only fester more complaints. Wor-Wic and SU can be assets to Salisbury/Wicomico if the citizens would change direction in their thinking.

Why didn't Dr. J stand up and shake graduates hands instead of hobnobbing with the Regent Chancellor the whole time? Wasn't the day about the graduates not brown nosing?

  13. Dr eshbach does not need a salary that high. Her main expenses are for 1. food and 2. Barney Frank posters. And as I have seen, she is fed very well at all the social gatherings at night. So, how much can her 4 meals during the day and Barney Frank posters cost?

She makes more than 220k. She was making over 300k a few years ago when the released the salaries of Maryland State employees. Either amount is absurd. Maybe college wouldn't be so expensive if they didn't pay all the professors 200 and 300k a year or more!

  21. 949 that's the figure I've heard too. She couldn't even walk her lazy butt across the lawn when she lived across the street. 24. 1007 Charlottesville loves its Cavaliers and Wahoos. When we lived there, we never heard a peep out of locals in the form of complaints. They actually helped populate the Football and Basketball games by buying season tickets to both. Salisbury really misses out on an opportunity to have a sense of community but Eshbach doesn't help. She's as far removed from the little people of Salisbury as she is from the students at her own school.

  30. 9:08 AM: "Locals have never warmed up to being a campus town but they sure miss the students when they go home for breaks or the summer."

Your statement surely indicates you are not from the area because if you were you would know that locals rejoice when the Salisbury University students are out of town. Tranquility is restored upon their departure. The average Salisbury resident could care less about Salisbury University and their student population. The only locals or so-called locals who miss the students are greedy business owners, mostly Salisbury outsiders who attended Salisbury University, many of them saying they hated Salisbury the entire time until they graduated and decided to make Salisbury their home; and criminals who find students as easy prey.

We aint got no problem with a salary of Ford CEO cuz he make trucks. You know he puts the emblems on every FORD. He works for his money. So does the CEO of Remington Arms, he puts the front bead on every shotgun so I don't care how much he makes.

I agree. Some of our citizens are so dumb down, and the kool aid they have been drinking is surely spiked. Our residents don't realize that every time the university confiscates private property - it is to the detriment of our ordinary taxpaying real property owners. The college has consumed an enormous amount of private property and taken it out of the tax base. It is a recipe for disaster. And when one couples that equation with an exodus of businesses - it spells TAX INCREASES!! Of course the college doesn't own any of that. And I would also like to know where in the hell is the Free Press!

  34. When we attended our son's commencement from Ohio U, Hillary Clinton gave the address. We were so disappointed because it gave nothing to the grads but was a campaign speech for Bill. I guess it is no secret Ohio U is one of the most liberal universities in the country but one would think even the libs could put partisan politics aside for just one day to praise the young people for a job well done. Guess not.
