  1. Good-by Doug, good riddance. You road the shirttails last time, didn't work again. You are a dishonest disgrace, and WE know it.

  2. Looks like the good old boys club misjudged this one. The wannabe cop is history.

  3. Poor FOP won't know what to do without their lapdog. Slymeck got his due. Congratulations John, now don't become one of them. James and Hartman, your next.

    1. Your right there. James and Hartman care about one thing, THEMSELVES. Cymek would have never got elected last time, just got a free ride with the Hall and Hall turmoil. Cymek is a crook, and that's being generous.

  4. Now what snake got his head cut of Doug? Goodnight, all over but the crying. Go TRUMP!

    1. I guess you meant head cut off. One of his arrogant statements, happy retirement Doug, maybe now you can fade away. I understand Jim Hall is looking for a laborer. Or maybe Joe Hall needs a dishwasher.

  5. It looks like the voters in OC are finally getting some sense. Can't believe Cymek lasted as long as he did.

  7. Can't believe it, maybe OO has some hope. And to think the "four" thought they had it wrapped up. If anyone with half a brain runs against Rick, he's gone. Cymek only wanted his control on the police department, how's that working for you

  8. YES, just left the Gehrig party. Message to the boys club, we're shutting you down! Slymeck was just the start.

  9. The top runner only announced a month ago. The question was if the people were happy. Hell no!, Nobody wants the headache and corruption of this job. A decent businessman runs, and beats a has been by almost two to one. Now, lets just hope John doesn't follow the trend, and become one of them. Also note that dennis the clown didn't do so well. this was a loud FU to the system.

  10. What a night! It looks like Trump may win. And the cherry on my ice cream, the silly council shake up. Doug and Hillary, two peas from the same pod.

  11. There is a God. Trump in, Doug out. All swamp's drained.

  12. Doug's toast :) maybe he'll take a few with him.

  13. Can't wait until Thursday night, will Doug even show (that's when the turnover happens) New chairman of police commission, and maybe a new Council President.

    1. He won't show, he's humiliated. I will be there, all smiles, along with the FOP. Take out the trash.

  14. The FOP never trusted this clown. Keep your friend's close, your enemies closer. They played him, no one is surprised by the vote. Cymek sued the Department and the Town year's ago. It comes around.

  15. Rick may have a rude awakening Thursday. He's sweating bullets, his hope to continue control just had a wake up call. When James started putting up John's signs, the separation began. United they stood, divided slymeck fell. Love it. Good luck John, your gonna need it.

  16. I agree with the "cut the head off the snake" reference. Doug said that about a department head more than once, now he's been blogged, and booted. First Recor, now it's come full circle on one of the last snakes. One more to go, and by the looks of the vote tally, their next.

  17. 65th street is thrilled. Doug is an idiot, that we never trusted.

  18. Bet both union's can't get to Gehrig fast enough. Wonder if D3 has collective bargaining? NOT

  19. Poor cymek, he really thought he was someone. Mr big chairman of the police commission didn't make him the Chief. He surely thought so. He was a dried up private I, then lost that licence. Then he was President of the Caine keys homeowners association, then lost their charter because he was to lazy to renew. This guy screwed up everything he touched, now go away. Knight, your next.

  20. Now if they could only get a real mayor and actually a qualified fire chief.the whole town is going to have to join the vfc when the schedule changes.

  21. Dougie C - bet you didn't see this coming, eh? HAHAHAHAHAAHAHA

Now, fresh meat on board...lets set the clock for 6 months from now and judge any progress.

  22. See it coming, highly doubtful. Poor soul was to blind and ......., To realize he should have been gone 4 years ago. What's the gonna do now? We really could care less.

  23. As expected, slymeck was a no show in the ceremonial turn over. Good for him, because I had his "see ya later" words ready.

    1. And I would have joined you. Doug was a Leach that should have never been there to begin with.

  24. Saw Doug at church this morning, that initself is a joke. Bet he was praying the last week was just a dream, ok, nightmare. Why big boy, it wasn't. I thought I would barf with the comments Dennis made Thursday, how Dou would be missed. The entire Council couldn't stand him. He leaked closed session information, he would back door anything he wanted, and was simply a snake. The voters knew it, and spoke loud.

  25. Doug Cymek was like the school yard nerd following the cool kids. They ignored him four years ago, with their focus on dumping the Hall's. This time, his number was up. He was slimy, hence all the "slymeck" identifiers, and it's been no secret the M&CC wanted him gone, along with the voters. This was a strong message, and that's where John Gehrig shined.

  26. I've watched the meetings online. I agree Dare and Knight are on borrowed time. I've not ever seen people so goofy in my life. How they were ever elected proves how deteriorated OC has become in the past couple of decades.

    1. It's because no-one honest wants the dam job. Corruption runs deep, if you can't beat um, they join um. Let's see how long Gehrig holds on before he goes right down hell's road.

    2. I give him until the first of the year. Tricky Ricky will work his magic.

  27. James may be the real head of the snake. James ( I was elected with daddy's money and name ) wants Cymek gone, he cuts a deal with Tony Christ to work the parking lot for Gehrig ( who now owes Christ big time ) and Delucca, and tell people to not vote for Cymek, Dare, or Knight, guaranteeing one will be defeated. Gehrig's and Delucca"s numbers are driven up, Cymek's, Dare's, and Knight's totals are driven down. Cymek is out, yeah he would have probably lost anyway, and Gehrig and James owe a large political debt to Tony Christ. Can't wait til he comes to collect.

    1. BINGO, you win ! Politics as always, you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Slymeck thought he was a shoe in, and instead got a shoe out. Let him wither on the vine before he blows away.

  28. When dare went on about what a gentle soul cymeck was, and the voice of reason, he showed his colors. When Dennis was city manager, he had a different tone. Doug was quiet, because he was constantly trying to screw someone. He cared about nothing other than his boyhood dream of being a cop. The police commission was as close as he ever came. He brought shame to the OCPD, and everything he touched.

  29. Little competition last week. Who's laughed the hardest, 2nd floor City Hall, Police Headquarters, or Fire Headquarters?
