BREAKING NEWS: Major House Fire In South Point

Berlin and Ocean City Fire dispatched to Quillin Way in South Point for a reported house fire. Units on scene reporting house fully involved.

 UPDATE: Another engine has been requested out of Ocean Pines.

    It was a chimney fire. The house isn't a totally loss.

    Exactly why you should have your chimney cleaned and inspected yearly.

    8:41 is so right and be especially diligent about a yearly chimney clean if the house is more then one level. A taller chimney and the heat from the fire can't burn off what gets stuck to the inside of chimney and that is what catches fire.

    The way it is dispatched makes these fires sound worse than they are with all the talk the dispatchers say.
