Despite Thunderbirds Crash, OC Air Show Is Still On

Despite the indefinite grounding of the Thunderbirds, organizers for the Ocean City Air Show are still moving forward regardless of whether the U.S. Air Force squad will be there.

A number of upcoming Thunderbirds performances have either been canceled or thrown into doubt following Thursday's crash in a field outside Petersen Air Force Base in Colorado. The June 18 and 19 Ocean City show is one of a number of performances that could be affected by the indefinite stand down while the investigation continues.

In an unrelated incident, U.S. Navy Blue Angels pilot Capt. Jeff Kuss died in a Tennessee crash. He narrated every performance last year, including the team's inaugural appearance at the Ocean City Air Show.
