New Christian Leadership & Community Foundation Gift to HALO

The Christian Leadership & Community Foundation (Maranatha, Inc, formerly Joy! 102.5 WOLC) has provided a gift of $5,000 to HALO Ministries.

Deborah Byrd, Executive Director of the Foundation, explained, "When we were closing down the radio station, we invited HALO to come down and take away the office furnishings and kitchenware that was left after we moved to a smaller office on the downtown plaza in Salisbury. I noticed on their second trip, that they were using a rental truck. That led to discovering that every time they go out on these types of pickups, they had a rental expense. In giving them this check for $5,000 with which they will purchase an enclosed trailer, we anticipate that they will save $15,000 a year on rental expenses!"

Established to protect, preserve and perpetuate the Christian perspective in our culture, the Foundation provides funding and services to ministries and non-profits throughout Delmarva. The Foundation may be reached at clcfoundation.com.

  1. Any of you other " so called " Christian leaders in this immediate community do yourself and anyone involved with your churches and go spend some time around Ms. Savage who runs this organization. She is by far the only one that truly is a representation of being Christ like. There is NO pride no arrogance no ME in her vocabulary when it comes to helping those less fortunate. In her own words treat people like Jesus would!! So next time you others go boasting bragging about how great YOU are is truly how Christ should be represented

  3. A great gift to a great organization. Halo is truly a great asset to our community. With the weather being as cold as it is they will be sheltering more people than usual this weekend. I will be donating food to them this weekend and I am sure they would truly appreciate any other donations.

  4. Negative or truth ?? Sounds like it was more of a positive to Ms. Savage and the humility she possesses
