Police: 2 Suspects Stole Gun, Tasers & Bullet Proof Vest From MDTA Vehicle

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Two suspects have been arrested after Baltimore County police say they broke into an MDTA vehicle and stole police equipment, including a .40 caliber handgun.

The investigation began over the weekend on January 9th, when police say the suspects entered a parked Maryland Transportation Authority Police vehicle and stole a Glock 22 .40 caliber handgun, gun belt, Taser, two Taser cartridges, bullet proof vest, a laptop computer, camcorder and other items.

Some of the items were later recovered. The handgun, Taser, and computer were not recovered, police said.

On Wednesday, authorities announced the arrest of 23-year-old Kevin Singleton and 18-year-old Tyshaun Clinton Womble, both of Dundalk.

  4. now if you or I left items such as these in a vehicle not secured by a safe we would be under arrest

  5. Now you know that it is quite possible that the two "yout's", were only holding on to the confiscated equipment in an attempt to implore the necessity of utilizing/employing higher or tighter security measures by the MDTA. The problem here is that the police do not appreciate citizen concerns in these matters.

Just my 2 cents, I could be wrong.
