ReplyDeletemilitary of course, they also fly all over dorchester and neighboring counties everyday 10am-2pm spreading their noise pollution from jets disturbing and harassing all waterfowl, wildlife and humans.

ReplyDeleteActually no one in a lot of cases.I know a guy who has received numerous orders to refuel helicopters (as pictured) upon their landing and found the majority of them devoid of any passengers whatsoever.His first time doing so was really strange,but upon completing his task he stood clear of the helicopter and it took off.App 50% of the helicopters that he has refueled since that first one have been devoid of passengers.He has even climbed inside on several occasions and looked around just to satisfy his curiosity.No one inside,notta app 50% of the time.Well,you asked..
ReplyDeleteThey were flying low in Somerset County the night before last.I understand Medivac flights and whatnot but this is a nuisance when they are buzzing around all day for no apparent reason.
ReplyDeleteYeah it gets pretty crazy down in Nanticoke but I love it. One day I was watching them do a areal refuel from a tanker. I also was watching an F18 do what appeared to be stall training. It was climbing real high and then would tumble down and the correct itself and do it all over again. You can get some great shows down in Nanticoke on a clear day or night.

ReplyDeleteMilitary Pilots earning their flight time training bonuses.
ReplyDeleteWestern Wicomico County is on the Eastern edge of R4001, a training and flight operations area for the military. Salisbury is also a good training airport for approaches, and Pax River has a great number of training flights requiring a large area. Makes sense here on the West Side.
