Living Well with Diabetes Workshops offered

Living Well with Diabetes Workshops will be offered at various locations on the Shore beginning in January.

Participants will learn how to deal with the symptoms of diabetes such as fatigue, pain, high and low blood sugar, stress and emotional issues such as depression, anger fear and frustration. Participants also will learn about exercises to improve strength and endurance, and how healthy eating can help them manage diabetes.

Classes are scheduled at the following locations:

Wicomico Public Library, downtown location, Salisbury, 5-7:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan. 5 to Feb. 9;

Somerset County Library, Princess Anne, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Jan. 12 to Feb. 16;

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Salisbury, 2-4:30 p.m., Fridays, Jan. 22 to March 4;

Village at Harbor Pointe, Salisbury, 2-4:30 p.m., Thursdays, Jan. 7 to Feb. 18.

Workshops are free and are open to the public, but registration is required.
