    1. Don't be kind. He was fired and needed to be. Joe ,no need for feelings in politics. It's one big reason why our country is where it is today.

  5. 4:57, The FACT of the matter is, he retired, period. No matter the circumstances, he had enough time in to retire and he did just that. Now, was he about to be fired, that's very possible, as some have suggested. However, he retired.

  6. I think we were a bit top heavy with administrators, assistant administrators, etc. We need to save money and cut the taxes and fees that have been strangling our economy for many years.

  11. Wicomico County deserves to have the best, most talented employees possible. Unfortunately in some cases, we have people who are lazy, unmotivated, uneducated and unprofessional. This is an opportunity for the County to find someone with better skills.

    1. Why? Why do you think we deserve the best? I'm not sure I understand why you would think we deserve the best.

    2. Are you willing to pay top dollar in salaries needed to hire the best most talented employes for Wicomico County? NOT ME!

    1. Yea that would be smart. Not. One of the educated ones, whom could see the county into the next 20 years! Come on. Plus she may have been forced by law and up to do things, against her believes and knowledge, but has always been the , red headed step child, and held back by semi retirees to hold there "status" and law, whom just wants to prove they are needed. After dealing with this county for over 30 years, I tell you all, she is what you need to look for for the future, not someone just trying to stay on board long enough to collect a 2nd retirement!!

    2. Held back? What does that mean? Wicomico County Government is not a race to the finish. We need leaders that work together. Education is not everything.

  13. Wasn't this guy striping fields in Rec and Parks when he was moved to purchasing by Pollitt? This was a Fruitland buddy deal. Guy wasn't qualified for purchasing. Shudder to think all the bad purchases he made and the money he cost the county. Another big thank you to lame Pollitt. Always screwing the taxpayer any way you could.

    1. Take a look at hires he made at rec and parks while he was superintendent one is drunk every morning and others are by end of day.

  14. Thank God. Rick Conrad is completely incompetent. Oh and Rick, contrary to your delusions, you are not God's gift to women.

    1. Yes, beginning too !! His promise for change, seriously, close now, but, only needs, now, to terminate one more to complete his campaign, whom now can't even determine what to say in his own words, since, recent retirement and the "so much needed, law department" in transition. No worries, just finish it bob

I thought that Sharon was rather cute as well as Andy and Dave Inkrote

  21. If i had to work for Ric Konrad or Chuck Pool i would be drunk every morning too.

  22. Clean them out Mr Culver! It's a shame you can't save the county more by getting some of the dead weight from other departments.

    ReplyDelete
  23. 7:56 PM: What is it you are trying to say?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Andy Wisk is gone, too?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Conrad or Konrad (whatever) was fired. If he gets retirement from Wicomico County I'm ready to pay taxes in another county! Any realtors available? He is lazy, self absorbed, mamas baby, cry baby, angry, hateful, loud, controlling, I can say more! Not qualified for this position because he is to lazy to help other departments with his continually changing rules! Rec &Parks can buy something without multiple bids but others cannot! Not even emergency situations. He knew it was coming! Cried at Elks in his brew about it constantly.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Andy was out more than in!!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Rick Conrad or Konrad is belligerent, aggressive, mean, aggressive, hateful, self serving, self loving, pompous, loud, disgusting, on and on!
To those who have said they can understand being drunk while working under him, ditto! CKonrad will drive you to it just to cope with living everyday! Thank goodness Bob Culver is making changes for the people who actually do the work! Yes, Rick may have drove underlings to drink and drugs to cope, but they did more and better work than he did! Everyone will perform better with him gone, FIRED! Yes he was fired! He will continue to suckle at the county's tit through retirement benefits! Hate it!

  28. parks and rec is a shambles, mackes was the problem along with all those who sucked up to him who are still there. Time to finish cleaning house bob!
will take years to right the programs over there provided you finish the job and get competent people in there.

    ReplyDelete
  29. There are a number of decent working clean employees in the parks and recs dept who come to work everyday rain or shine 100 degrees or 2 degrees on time and go beyond what is told to them to get the job done.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mackes wanted Konrad. Under Pollitts regime that was fine. Sharon Morris did her best to keep Rick Konrad after Bob was elected. Now that Morris is 30 year vested and can retire with comfort, Konrad has no protection. Sharon never knew what a angry hateful pompous, self righteous man he is. Konrad kissed her AwS! Hated to hear she was gone but if her leaving means Konrad GONE then positive move!
Perhaps Sharon Morris left knowing this will lead to Konrad getting fired. If so, she did the right thing.
Konrad gave work to the same persons over and over again, despite his claims of being neutral! Yea! He likes his friends! Purchasing Director! Phoo! Wish I could say Sh**!

  31. I have got news for all of the above making comments.

I would not be a bit surprised if most all of the former regime - (Mackes, Konrad, Wisk, Beachamp, Morris, and even Baker) - showed up employed by the Town of Crisfield. Soon - the Town of Crisfield residents will be in for a rude awakening.

    1. You people are crazy. Cry and throw tantrums when you think Bob is taking away benefits but want to reduce HR. Who do you think administers, budgets and pays for benefits?

      Delete
  36. Did you know that the HR department has a bell that goes off when someone walks in the door. This is so that the employees in the back can wake up and look busy when someone important walks in.

  37. Time to put the Detention Center under the Sheriff's Office and cut out all the top heavy staff. They are on the same property so it will work out perfectly.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Someone needs to look and watch the parks/recreation employees that work inside and outside, there are a few outside employees that report late and leave early.

  39. HR department has a lot going on. You should see the other higher ups that visit there quite often. Not always for business either
    just sayin,,,,,

  40. 6:02 it should be the finance department.

  41. Karma is a bit#h rick, what goes around comes around!you finally got yours, you ran the elks in to financial ruins while you were the ER there. It just sucks that you will get money from the tax payers in Wicomico county.

  42. Maybe now the local vendors won't be used like they were in the past. We'd spend our resources chasing business that was never intended to go to us.
