A Message From Ellen Sauerbrey

Dear Fellow Patriot,

When you woke up this morning, you probably climbed out of your own bed, got into your own shower, went downstairs to your own kitchen to eat breakfast, and walked out your own front door. But many of our wounded heroes, who sacrificed for us, return from the battlefield severely injured and unable to return to their own home. Instead they spend years at Walter Reed Hospital receiving intensive medical care. Help us help some of them recover in a homelike environment.

Republican Women of Baltimore County (RWBC) is hosting a Fundraiser for Feherty's Troops First on Sunday, September 20th from 3 - 7 PM, at Dejon Vineyards in Hydes Maryland. The Fundraiser is in support of the Leroy Petry Village of Honor which is under construction in Riverdale, Maryland.
The Leroy Petry Village of Honor is a transitional housing program that will consist of seven single family fully accessible homes. These homes will be available at no cost to warriors who are transitioning out of the military and have one to two years remaining at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We believe that our wounded troops deserve the opportunity to heal in an environment that will provide them and their families the support and home like environment need to recover and move forward with their lives.
Our Special Guest for the event is Taya Kyle, Author of "American Wife: A Memoir of Love, War, Faith and Renewal." The attached flyer provides all the details.

Feherty's Troops First is a non profit tax exempt foundation. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000 to support the construction of of the village. Individual and corporate sponsorship levels are available from $250.00 to $5,000. Information on the sponsorships is attached.

General Admission is $100 per person. Tickets are being sold online atwww.republicanwomenbc.com. If you would prefer to pay by check, print out the purchase by check form and mail it in with your check. It is that simple. There are limited tickets available, so do not waste time. Get your tickets today. And remember donations are tax deductible.

We hope you will join us for an afternoon of fun and support and gratitude for severely wounded heroes who have given so much for us.

  1. I am sure the backlash will be big on my comment, but my tax dollars have already paid for this, and I think this is one of the biggest scams the GOVERNMENT has bestowed on us to brainwash us into believing that we need to pay twice to support our troops because the GOVERNMENT is not fulfilling its obligation.

Instead of giving illegals welfare that money should be going to support our troops.
Instead of giving corporations welfare that money should be going to support our troops.
Instead of giving other countries billions in free money that money should be going to support our troops.

  2. My mother is being scammed by mail because she does not have a computer. She's always getting letters from DC claiming to be able to fix everything from Medicare to Social Security to preventing Obama from doing a third term. They always want money and she always sends it.I can't get through to her that these people are not changing a thing & are running a legal scam.My attempts to talk sense to her always ends up in an argument between us.If I really wanted to infuriate her I'd get 4:06 to talk to her.He/she would be telling her the truth but she probably would disown me.What to do...

  3. Before I give a nickel to this or any organization like it, I want to see the administrative costs, including the salaries and perks for the people running it.

The organization's Senior Enlisted Advisory Board is made up of seven Army E-9s and one Air Force E-9. Where's the Marine Corps, Navy and Coast Guard representation?
