Heart breaking, but not totally uncommon. Homeless shelters are full of these types of families. Not all homeless are drug addicts or bums. Due to circumstances either financial or family, they find themselves in this situation. Working poor as well. I know because I volunteer through my church to feed the poor. It is way worse than you think here in Salisbury and the surrounding area.
ReplyDeleteThe point is that Americans would rather help a doper so they won't steal or get sick than help a good person down on their luck with a kid that's homeless.
