2 Officers On Front Lines Of Baltimore Riots Speak About Violent Night

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– In April, chaos on the streets of Baltimore.

Hundreds of police officers were injured in the Freddie Gray riots.

In a WJZ exclusive, two of those officers open up, sharing their stories only with Vic Carter.

April 27th—Baltimore erupted in violence as anger over the death of Freddie Gray boiled over on the streets of Baltimore.

Police officers pelleted with bricks, bottles, rocks and concrete.

Over 100 officers were injured.

    Pelted would be a better word choice, but kids just don't read anymore to learn word meanings.

  2. The riots DID NOT erupt in anger over Freddie Gray. Stop making excuses for the thugs. The riots erupted because the thugs that live in that city saw an opportunity to do what they are doing on a smaller scale everyday there and that is committing crimes.

    I think there is some truth in what they said. They were not doing it to honor or remember Freddie Gray. They were just out to destroy something and it gave them a reason. Doesn't mean it was a good reason.
