Brace Yourself: Justice Ginsburg Says US Ready to Accept Gay Marriage

Americans are prepared to accept a U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex marriage, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, pointing to what she described as a sweeping change in attitudes toward gays.

In an interview Wednesday in the court’s oak-paneled east conference room, Ginsburg also said President Barack Obama’s health-care law, which is under attack in a case before the Supreme Court next month, will be a central part of his legacy.

The 81-year-old justice discussed the public’s increasing acceptance of gays against the backdrop of resistance by Alabama officials to a federal court order that took effect Monday and made it the 37th gay-marriage state. With the high court set to rule on the issue by June, she said it “would not take a large adjustment” for Americans should the justices say that gay marriage is a constitutional right.

  1. That 81 y/o judge has apparently lost her mind. This crap makes me want to barf in my mouth.

Homosexuality is just wrong and not meant to be. Two men can not reproduce so what is the purpose of two men engaging in oral sex. The male sex organ is not meant to be inserted into another male oral cavity for it's contents to be ingested.

A males reproductive sex organ is not meant to be inserted into another males excretory canal. Inserting a male sex organ into another males poop shoot is just gross and abnormal. These males that engage in gross abnormal sex like this have a serious mental issue. They should be committed like they did years ago. Just because some immoral people are more "accepting" of homosexuality does not make it normal. It is downright gross and disgusting!!

  4. As an aside, you may have noticed Ms. Ginsburg nodding off at the recent State of the Union speech. She admitted yesterday that she had a bottle of wine before the speech and "was not 100% sober" Her words.

  5. Oh yea and even though 2 men cant reproduce they sure as hell can give a child produced by and man and a woman that dont give a crap about them a stable and loving life. Sure they one day have to explain to them why they have 2 dads but think about how messed up in general we are as human beings and put in prospective how big a deal gay marriage is.

  6. Gay marriage is my generation's civil rights movement. Thank goodness all the bigots are finally having their voices drowned out. Welcome to OUR generation! I'll happily have my straight family prosper next to a gay family.

  7. If the argument is being made that people who cannot procreate (i.e. homosexuals) together can't be married, then this would ALSO include people who biologically cannot procreate.

Anyone who is sterile, or had a surgery that prevents them from having children, thus, should be excluded from marriage.

See how silly that sounds? The argument against the rights of gays to marry based on their ability to reproduce is absurd... as is any other argument I've ever heard. If you've got em post em, I'd be happy to debunk them for you.

  9. so 3:20 what you are saying is there is something wrong with gays? They either have a medical condition or have had a medical treatment. That is why they are how they are?

  10. once gays get right. As a white middle age man I want my version of affirmative action as the white man is now discriminated against and all other races and even tyranny's get protection..

Your lack of perspective makes it hard to understand I know, but you can always try.

What 3:20 did, rather effectively, is make you and the argument against gay marriage sound utterly absurd. Good job!

  13. Yes, the whole "can't reproduce" means my 80 year old dad and his 75 year old wife would be denied marriage? I don't think so...the whole marriage thing is just tax benefits anyway...and sometimes that whole piece of paper thing just means a lot to some people...but it never hurts anyone.

  14. 2:24 you my friend are whats really wrong with this country. People who molest children are pedophiles which is an adult that is sexually attracted to a child. Child molesters are just CHILD MOLESTERS. To say that openly gay people are more likely to molest children is absurd and ignorant.

I think you are right. I remember recently seeing where ISIS were throwing homosexuals off the roofs of tall buildings to their deaths. Yes that is what Muslims think of you pole smokers. Jim Ireton I would be scared if I was you. I notice your lovely Democrats coddle the muslims and their peace loving religion. Oh yeah, you idiots coddle the muslim in chief. LMAO.

You sick pervert!! You dumb idiot!! It has already been proven that gay marriages do not last so your theory about giving a child a loving home has just been shot to Hell. An adopted child brought up in a homosexual home will end up being more mentally disturbed than the homo's trying to raise them.

The majority of people really don't believe that gay marriage is acceptable. You young people have been indoctrinated by a corrupt liberal government. People that accept homosexuals as being normal are just as mentally ill as homos.

This is a very weak attempt at trying to justify two men playing butt darts as being acceptable. Try again Bozo!!

I think the argument that two men can't reproduce is because it isn't normal and biological feasible. A man and a woman are supposed to be able to procreate. Just because they biologically can't for whatever reason has nothing to do with two men having butt sex. Get real you dumb liberal morons.

  25. So it seems settled that we can't procreate argument has been completely debunked.

For those who say it's not natural we would have to define what not natural is. If this means it's not found in nature then again you would be wrong. This type of behavior can be found in small percentages in many species as in humans as well. Thus calling it unatural would not be accurate.

To argue that "what they do is dirty" would imply that only gays participate in those kind of activities. When we all know that Heterosexuals engage in these same activities.

Again I state there is no valid reason against this yet I challenge anyone to post a reason that I can't debunk. I'm open to changing my mind to a reasonable argument if anyone can think of one.

    1. Simple, I don't approve of homosexuality, because of my own moral standards. I don't care what you homos do on your own property. What I object to is your attempts to make me accept it through indoctrination, regulations and laws.

Sorry you feel that way. However, just because you feel that way does not make it immoral, nor does it allow you to legislate to take away people's freedoms and rights.

In case you missed it, gays aren't legislating anything upon you, they are fighting for equal rights, and fighting persecution in the form of legislation from your camp.

    1. In case you missed it, gays are complicit in indoctrination with efforts of trying to convince 97% of the US that homosexuality is normal and moral. My camp says have at it but don't judge me cause I disagree.

  27. The sweeping change came about because the anti's lies about gay people were exposed as false arguments.

For your argument to stand up to any scrutiny you have to defend and describe why it is immoral. You can't just claim it.

Unless you substantiate the assertion it has no merit, so please to substantiate why it is immoral.
