  10. Jim, If you wish to be technical, you, (and others) are correct. The "Salisbury Festival" is no more. Just like "Salisbury" is now Da 'BURY.

Our young leadership chooses to change the name of just about everything.

In fact, look at how hard the volunteers have worked to build "3rd Friday". Ireton had nothing to do with it and because he can't OWN it, now they're coming up with "1st Saturday" which is a drinking bash, seriously.

It must be the in thing to do, take credit away from others and or simply change the name.

Quite frankly, (and I don't care what people think) the Salisbury Festival was just plain stupid. It cost city taxpayers some $300,000.00 each year and needed to be shut down because of all the thugs. Mind you, hats off to the Police for handling the crowds but it is what it is.

So change the names, the dates, whatever. In the end what do you still have, Da 'Bury.
