Man arrested after knocking out Wayne County Sheriff's deputy at Frank Murphy Hall of Justice

DETROIT (WXYZ) - A Westland man is under arrest after he allegedly knocked out a Wayne County Sheriff's Deputy while entering Frank Murphy Hall of Justice Friday morning.

Officials say Deandre Wilson, 29, was asked to remove his coat as he went through the metal detector. After putting his coat back on, Sheriff Benny Napoleon says Wilson turned and hit Deputy Crystal Dominguez in the head.

The hit knocked Dominguez out and she did not regain consciousness until she was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital.

Wilson was quickly taken into custody by other deputies on duty at Frank Murphy. He had been entering the courthouse with a social worker for a hearing in another case in which he's accused of assaulting a police officer in Taylor.

Wilson was free on a bond that had been set at $5,000/10%.

  1. Set free by paying only $500 on a %5000.00 bond? Way, way too low for having assaulted another officer earlier. Is it any wonder we have so much crime when the criminals are let loose so easily to commit more crimes.

  2. Deandre didn't 'fall' up the stairs trying to escape when he was taken in to custody?

    Hope the deputy is OK!

  5. Two assaults on cops by a black thug, this time he struck a female LE officer, for no reason. Where's the liberal media outcry for justice against a black criminal? Answer, no where, because blacks committing crime is OK by them. And then blacks wonder why they're profiled? Answer again, because blacks and their liberal "All Things BLACK", perpetuate crime from within.

  6. He should be charged with attempted murder, a blow hard enough to knock someone unconscious causes brain damage and obviously was inflected with mallace.

It doesn't appear that you are intelligent enough to use the term 'DNA' with that statement. We all share LOTS of DNA with everyone ya idiot.
