Ethics Violation Against Mayor Jim Ireton

Since Mayor Ireton used his friend, now a city employee, to send this same email/press release as a "Press Release" couldn't this possibly fall under an ethics violation. Since the first email/press release was sent out by the City of Salisbury PIO it makes me think it is a borderline ethics violation. It is obvious the press releases are nothing but campaign promotions and this identical email is sent out as a campaign stunt praising himself for working so hard. This campaign email even has the authority line.

  5. Definately campaign ad " From: "Jim Ireton " <jimiretonformayor..."! How much more does one need to read to realize this is capaining for mayor or any other office he may try to run for. What an idiot move this was. But then again being he is an 'goodoldboy' network untouchable democratic liberal of the highest degree!

  6. Towjam, no, he just wants that neighborhood to THINK he gives a crap about them. He sucks up to them when he wants their votes, but many there have learned what he REALLY thinks of their neighborhood.

Not sure if this is an ethics violation or not because the campaign is simply picking up the press release from the mayor's office. Smells bad, but probably isn't illegal. What the county gal did, though, was a screw up, directly. This likely skirts that.

  7. He still thinks he's got a shot at a seat in Annapolis. Whose seat? Jim Mathias'?
