Greetings Citizens of Worcester County

Worcester County Sheriff's Office

Greetings Citizens of Worcester County;
This is the best method I have found for you to combat Identity Theft. Take a few minutes and get the free report so that “you” can insure your identity has not been stolen. This is undoubtedly the best protection against becoming a victim; that is to keep your Credit Report up to date and insure it is accurate.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the nationwide credit reporting companies — Equifax, Experian, and Trans-Union — to provide you with a FREE copy of your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months. The FCRA promotes the accuracy and privacy of information in the files of the nation’s credit reporting companies. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation’s consumer protection agency, enforces the FCRA with respect to credit reporting companies.
A credit report includes information on where you live, how you pay your bills, and whether you’ve been sued or have filed for bankruptcy. Nationwide credit reporting companies sell the information in your report to creditors, insurers, employers, and other businesses that use it to evaluate your applications for credit, insurance, employment, or renting a home.
Here are the details about your rights under the FCRA, which established the free annual credit report program.
Q: How do I order my free report?
The three nationwide credit reporting companies have set up a central website, a toll-free telephone number, and a mailing address through which you can order your free annual report.
To order, visit annualcreditreport.com, call 1-877-322-8228. Or complete the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mail it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. Do not contact the three nationwide credit reporting companies individually. They are providing free annual credit reports only through annualcreditreport.com, 1-877-322-8228 or mailing to Annual Credit Report Request Service.
You may order your reports from each of the three nationwide credit reporting companies at the same time, or you can order your report from each of the companies one at a time. The law allows you to order one free copy of your report from each of the nationwide credit reporting companies every 12 months. And if you have attended my seminar, you will recall that I suggest you use the service once every four months, to maintain a constant vigilance on your credit and Identity Theft prevention. For example, January 2014 use Experian, May 2014 use Equifax and then September use Trans-Union and repeat it afterwards.
Also, please mark your calendar for the Identity Theft Prevention seminar, a very informal fun presentation; that will be show cased at the Knights of Columbus Lodge facility at 100th Street in Ocean City on February 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. Presented by Taylor Bank, Bank of Ocean City and the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office. I hope that you can attend.

Report all suspicious activity and show you care by watching out for your neighbor.

STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION PERFORMS ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ON FOUR MOVABLE BRIDGES THIS MONTH

Drivers Should Remain Alert for Work Crews and Minor Traffic Impacts

(January 6, 2014) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is performing routine maintenance on four State-maintained movable bridges during the month of January.  Crews will work on site during the day, and traffic may be impacted no longer than a normal opening for that particular bridge.  Outlined below are the dates and times for the routine bridge maintenance:

- Friday, January 10: MD 181 (Compromise Street) Bridge over Spa Creek in Anne Arundel County, 8:30 a.m. to 12 Noon, and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

- Thursday, January 16: US 50 Bridge over the Sinepuxent Bay (Harry W. Kelley Memorial Bridge) in Ocean City, Worcester County, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- Thursday, January 23: MD 213 Bridge over the Chester River at the Queen Anne’s / Kent County line, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

- Friday, January 31: MD 331 Dover Bridge over the Choptank River at the Caroline / Talbot County line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Dates and time are weather dependent.  This work is being performed as a part of bridge maintenance contracts with Covington Machine and Welding, Inc. of Annapolis.  While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving behavior to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!

If, in the largest city of the country, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas,
but not a 24-ounce soda because the government says a 24-ounce
sugary drink might make you fat ...
Then you might live in a country run by idiots.

If an 80-year-old woman can be stripped and searched
by the TSA, but a woman in a hi-jab is only subject to

work is to reward them with 99 weeks

Then you might live in a country run by idiots.

If being stripped of the ability to defend yourself
makes you more "safe" according to the government ...
Then you might live in a country run by idiots.

If you are offended by this article, then I'll bet you voted

GOVERNOR O’MALLEY ISSUES STATEMENT REGARDING THE DEATH OF BISHOP LEE ROBINSON

ANNAPOLIS, MD (January 6, 2014) -- Tonight, Governor O'Malley issued the following statement upon learning of the death of Bishop Lee Robinson, Baltimore city's first black police commissioner, and former state secretary of public safety and juvenile justice:

"On behalf a very grateful State, I would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of Bishop Lee Robinson. Over the course of his 50-year law enforcement career, Secretary Robinson gave back ceaselessly to our city and our State. From the halls of the State house in Annapolis, to the offices of our State's top public safety agencies to the classrooms of the University of Baltimore, Mr. Robinson's perseverance and grit inspired many. Tonight, our city grieves the loss one of her staunchest guardians and our State mourns the loss of one its most dedicated servants."

A Mom And Her Son Blow Bubbles The Freezing Cold. They Never Expected It To Look So Amazing...

When the temperature dropped to 16 degrees in Washington, Angela Kelly got a crazy idea.

She and her seven-year-old son mixed up some homemade soap and sent bubbles soaring through the chilly winter air.

Angela snapped photos as the frost created intricate designs in the larger bubbles, while the smaller ones froze and shattered as they hit the ground.

Roscoe Bartlett: The Congressman Who Went Off The Grid

When Roscoe Bartlett was in Congress, he latched onto a particularly apocalyptic issue, one almost no one else ever seemed to talk about: America’s dangerously vulnerable power grid. In speech after late-night speech on the House floor, Bartlett hectored the nearly empty chamber: If the United States doesn’t do something to protect the grid, and soon, a terrorist or an act of nature will put an end to life as we know it.

Bartlett loved to conjure doomsday visions: Think post-Sandy New York City without power—but spread over a much larger area for months at a time. He once recounted a conversation he claimed to have had with unnamed Russian officials about how they could take out the United States: They would “detonate a nuclear weapon high above your country,” he recalled them saying, “and shut down your power grid—and your communications—for six months or so.”

TROOPERS URGE CAUTION AS OLD MAN WINTER BLOWS
(Pikesville, MD) – Maryland State Police are urging drivers to use caution and to think twice before heading out during the expected blast of cold weather from ‘old man winter’.

Colonel Marcus L. Brown, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police has directed all personnel to be on high alert for disabled vehicles with the anticipated record low temperatures. Troopers will be working with the State Highway Administration’s, Coordinated Highway Action Response Team, to assist disabled motorists as quickly as possible.

With cold weather advisories across the state and weather forecasters predicting bone chilling temperatures, state troopers are encouraging motorists to make sure they and their vehicles are prepared and properly equipped. Motorists ought to keep a survival bag in their car which should include a blanket, a flashlight (with batteries) or flares, jumper cables, and an extra bottle of antifreeze and windshield washer fluid.

The cold weather can wreck havoc on a vehicle, so check the following before traveling:
o Check the tire pressure and tread
o Check the battery
o Check the car fluid levels
o Make sure you have a good spare tire

Drivers are reminded their cell phones can be used to call 9-1-1 in emergencies or #77. Additional personnel have been reassigned to assist with road patrol duties to supplement regular patrol forces across the state.

Obama Adviser Gene Sperling Pushes For Unemployment Benefits Extension Without Offsets

Top White House economic adviser Gene Sperling took to the Sunday morning talk shows to push for Congress to extend emergency unemployment benefits ahead of a key Senate vote Monday.

Sperling, the director of President Obama's National Economic Council, said on NBC's "Meet the Press" that Monday "is the day that 1.3 million Americans go to their mailbox and find that the check that they'd been relying on to put food on their table, put gas in their cars to look for a new job, will not be there."

Sperling urged Congress to extend the Emergency Unemployment Compensation for three months. The program expired in December, immediately ending benefits for 1.3 million of the 4.1 million Americans out of work for 27 weeks or longer and cutting off benefits for thousands of others expected to exhaust their 26 weeks of benefits in the weeks ahead.

Dems Stake 2014 Survival On Class Strife

ObamaCare is going to cost Democrats dearly in this year’s midterm elections. And if early warnings about higher costs, less access to care and disrupted coverage for the 85 percent of Americans who were covered before the law prove true, there may be little anyone can do to avoid another landslide defeat for the blue team. But while Republicans are readying themselves for majority status, Democrats know that the only number that matters is five. If Democrats can limit Republican gains in the Senate to five or less, nothing changes in Washington. So while the GOP is thinking big, Democrats are thinking small, small, small. While Republicans are hoping to ride a national tide, Democrats are hoping to just protect half of the 10 most vulnerable seats on their side of the aisle. Their strategy: to focus on an issue that has animated the activist base of the party for generations: The gap between rich and poor. It may not be nearly as important as ObamaCare, but President Obama and Harry Reid don’t need it to be. They just need to squeeze out enough base voters to preserve a Senate majority.

1,600 Applicants For 3 Dozen Dairy Plant Jobs? Welcome To Hagerstown.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. — When the Good Humor ice cream plant closed here two summers ago, more than 400 jobs and a stable, punch-the-clock way of life melted away, another in a string of plant closings that have battered this once-proud manufacturing town.

The hulking plant sat vacant until a co-op of Virginia dairy farmers purchased it in summer 2013 to process milk and ice cream, though on a far smaller scale than the 60,000 cases of ice cream that global food giant Unilever churned out every day.

Randy Inman, the board president for Shenandoah Family Farms, said he expected the plant’s revival to trigger plenty of interest in its three dozen or so initial jobs. What he did not expect: 1,600 applicants and counting — a deluge.

Is Obamacare A Giant Churn Operation?

There's growing optimism among Obamacare advocates that the Affordable Care Act could reach seven million sign-ups by the end of March. The administration at first embraced the number -- which originally came from the Congressional Budget Office -- only to back away from it when the problems of the federal Obamacare website became apparent. Now, with word that 2.1 million have so far signed up for private insurance, some of that pre-rollout confidence is coming back.

It's well known that in its effort to reach seven million, the administration redefined "enrollment" to mean anyone who has chosen a health plan — not just those who have actually purchased one. So there are serious questions about the 2.1 million figure. But perhaps the bigger question about the Obamacare number is: How many of the people who are now purchasing coverage on the exchanges are doing so because they lost the coverage they already had because it did not meet Obamacare standards?

U.S. Seeking al Qaeda Terrorist Linked To Benghazi Attack

Egyptian sought in Egypt, Yemen

The U.S. government is trying to apprehend an al Qaeda terrorist wanted for his role in the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack that killed four Americans.

The suspect, Muhammad Jamal, was imprisoned in Egypt last fall and in September was being held by the Egyptian government. His current whereabouts could not be confirmed, said U.S. officials who spoke on condition of anonymity. One official said Jamal remains in Egyptian custody, contrary to reports that he was in Yemen.

Jamal was labeled a designated terrorist by the United Nations Oct. 18, identifying him and the group he formed, the Muhammad Jamal Network, as linked to the Sept. 11, 2012, Benghazi attack.

Senate Democrats Want To “Fast-Track” Unemployment Benefits

According to the Guardian Newspaper, Democratic leaders in the upper chamber are planning to introduce a three-month extension of long-term unemployment benefits. The aide explained, “This is not some abstract political issue. If Congress doesn't do this, and do it quickly, people will be choosing whether to pay rent or be out on the streets.” The trouble is, without much-needed financial assistance, most people won't have any choice in that scenario. Hopefully, Senate Democrats can push through an extension quickly, and start working on a long-term solution to unemployment – like making our government the employer of last resort.

Pointing to an empty ticket office window on Saturday afternoon, Krasner said it's a far cry from shows from January to September of last year, when, in the morning, the line would take hours to get through.

Americans Spent $7.45B In 3 Years Helping Other Countries Deal With ‘Climate Change’

(CNSNews.com) – American taxpayers spent $7.45 billion to help developing countries cope with climate change in fiscal years 2010 through 2012, according to a federal government report submitted to the United Nations on a subject that Secretary of State John Kerry described as “a truly life-and-death challenge.”

That sum of $7.45 billion, which reached more than 120 countries through bilateral and multilateral channels, met President Obama’s “commitment to provide our fair share” of a collective pledge by developed nations to provide a total of nearly $30 billion in “fast start finance” (FSF), the report stated.

The pledge was made at a Dec. 2009 U.N. climate conference in Copenhagen, and the FSF funding aims to support developing countries adapt to and cope with phenomena blamed on climate change, such as droughts and rising sea levels.

More New Taxes And Fees: How You’ll Pay For Obamacare In 2014

Obamacare contains 18 specific tax hikes, mandates, or penalties that cost Americans money, and three new ones take effect in 2014. This is only the beginning—watch how two of these taxes get worse in the years to come.

1. Individual Mandate Tax. The individual mandate is designed to strong-arm individuals into purchasing government-approved health insurance or facing a tax penalty. In 2014, the penalty for not purchasing insurance will be either $95 or 1 percent of annual income (whichever is greater). Very few, if any, people will end up paying just $95, because individuals with an annual income of only $9,500 or less would likely qualify for Medicaid or a hardship exemption from the mandate. The mandate increases drastically in coming years, rising to $325 or 2 percent of income in 2015, and $695 or 2.5 percent of income in 2016—whichever is greater.

2. Health Insurer Tax. One of the largest tax increases in the law is an annual fee imposed on health insurers based on their share of the market. It is estimated to raise $8 billion in 2014 alone. The tax will more than likely be passed on to consumers through premium increases. An actuarial analysis by the consulting firm Oliver Wyman projects that in 2014, this tax will increase premiums by 1.9 percent to 2.3 percent. And the impact will be greater in later years as the tax increases.

Oops! There's no way to add a newborn baby to your ObamaCare coverage

Pretty much how we all feel, kid.

The government geniuses who decided they could run health insurance better than everyone else apparently overlooked the fact that circumstances in people’s lives sometimes change, and it becomes necessary to update your insurance information to reflect that.

People now covered under ObamaCare are getting a rather unpleasant surprise upon the joyous event of having babies added to their families. It turns out giving birth may be easier than giving the baby health coverage. Try going to HealthCare.gov and looking for a way to add your newborn to your coverage. It doesn’t exist. While you’re at it, try looking for a way to indicate a change in your marital status, your job status, your income . . . I’ll save you the trouble. HealthCare.gov doesn’t offer a way to do any of that.

Now, you can call your insurer and they’ll take the information and update your insurance, so problem solved, right?

Liz Cheney Ends Her Run For Senate

Liz Cheney is ending her bid for Wyoming Senate and her primary challenge against Mike Enzi. That was quick. While I’m not fan of Mike Enzi, a Liz Cheney in the Senate would worry me. While I have a lot of respect for Liz Cheney, I’d worry she’d be a John McCain/Kelly Ayotte type who always wants to go to war for the Muslims who hate us anyway. Enzi lead Cheney by as much as 53 percentage points in some polls and never gain traction. Now, Enzi will be on his way to an easy re-election as no progressive liberal Democrat has a snowball’s chance in hell in Wyoming.

One Company Is Working Hard To Make Sure Your Student Loans Stay With You Until You Die

Sometimes, terrible things happen in life. When something like cancer strikes, despite your best intentions and hardest efforts, medical bills and unemployment can leave you in a position where paying off your student loans is just not a thing you can make happen.

Theoretically, that’s where bankruptcy comes in. Reality, however, doesn’t follow the theory. As the New York Times reports, there is an agency out there working their butts off pushing back on bankruptcy to make sure that student debt is as permanent as possible.

The Educational Credit Management Corporation is a nonprofit entity with an exclusive government agreement, an organization whose sole purpose is to prevent student loans from entering default. There aren’t many borrowers who even try to have their student loans discharged in bankruptcy–only a few hundred per year–but ECMC is there to make things as difficult as possible for the ones who do.

2ND TOP MILITARY MAN CALLS FOR MILLIONS TO MARCH ON D.C.

Citizens plan mass gathering to restore constitutional foundation with prayer

Truckers rallied in Washington to restore America to its constitutional republic foundations. So did veterans. And bikers. They all assembled and then departed, leaving the Beltway insiders to continue running the nation into the ground, according to one man who says an event he hopes to hold this spring will be different.

U.S. Army Col. Harry G. Riley, retired, who runs the Patriots for America website, told WND his event planned for May 16 doesn’t really have an organized sponsor – it will be just be individual Americans assembling to demand a restoration of their nation.

One of the primary catalysts for the event he said, was the establishment of a prayer group.

Also, he vows that they won’t leave Washington until they see change.

“One million or more of the assembled 10 million must be prepared to stay in D.C. as long as it takes to see Obama, Biden, Reid, McConnell, Boehner, Pelosi, and Attorney General Holder removed from office,” Riley explains in a promotional email about his plan.

“The senior Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives will become Speaker of the House and the U.S. House of Representatives will elect a temporary president and vice president of the United States. The U.S. Senate will take action to elect a new majority and minority leader,” he declared.

“As required, the U.S. Congress will execute appropriate legislation to convene new elections or U.S. states will appoint replacements for positions vacated consistent with established constitutional requirements.”

This year will be different. Lawmakers will have to multitask, reshaping the state’s laws while getting ready for the 2014 primary election on June 24.

This film will absolutely blow you away - one B-24 every 55 minutes. ADOLF HITLER HAD NO IDEA THE U.S. WAS CAPABLE OF THIS KIND OF THING.

11 Attorneys General: Obama Breaking Law With Health Care Change

Eleven state attorneys general have signed onto a letter to Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius arguing that the administration is violating the law by making repeated changes to President Obama’s health care overhaul without congressional approval.

They specifically refer to the White House’s move to allow insurance companies to continue selling health care plans that would be out of compliance with the new mandates under Obamacare.

“We support allowing citizens to keep their health insurance coverage, but any changes to the law must be done legally and through the proper channels,” the attorneys general wrote. “The Administration may not decide single-handedly which parts of the law it will enforce and which parts it will ignore. The only way to fix this problem-ridden law is through congressional action.”
