UNITED NEEDS & ABILITIES IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR RIVER’S EDGE APARTMENTS

SALISBURY, MD.
United Needs & Abilities is now accepting applications from individuals with disabilities interested in living at the new River’s Edge Apartments & Studio for the Arts, located at 670 Fitzwater St., Salisbury, MD. Several floor level apartments have been specifically designed with larger doorways and are fully handicapped accessible. It is anticipated that apartments will be ready by late December or January 2015. The Rivers Edge project incorporates green technologies, an organic community garden, access to public transportation and over 6,000 sq. ft. of community space with yoga and dance areas, a working art studio and an art gallery.

United Needs & Abilities is a nonprofit organization, 501 (C)(3), that enriches the lives of people with developmental disabilities by maximizing their opportunities to live in the community independently and productively. United Needs & Abilities assists individuals with developmental disabilities to become more self-sufficient and integrated into the community, by providing them financial, residential, recreational, vocational and educational services.

  1. If I was handicapped and saw what was across the street I would hit my chair in high gear out of there!

    Hope they will be installing a fence and gate for access.
