Police Investigate Seaford crash

Troopers are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred earlier this afternoon that sent three people to a local hospital.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m. July 8 as Anna M. Collick, 50, of Laurel, was operating a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Route 13 in the right lane approaching Sussex 20. A 2007 Dodge 2500 Sprinter van was stopped for a red light behind a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup truck in the right lane of US13 northbound when for unknown reasons, the Pontiac failed to stop in time and struck the rear of the Sprinter van, forcing the car to under-ride the van and push it into the rear of the pickup truck.
Anna Collick and her two passengers, one adult and one teenager, were all properly restrained and transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where they are being treated for non-lifethreatening injuries. Anna Collick was cited for inattentive driving, driving while suspended and revoked, no proof of insurance, and no registration in possession.
Michael J. Wilson, 34, of Elmer, N.J., was operating the Sprinter van and was uninjured in the collision.
Louis P. Vogler 3rd, 45, of Lebanon, N.H., was operating the Dodge Ram pickup and was uninjured in the crash.
The crash impacted already jammed traffic due to a gas leak in Seaford and was cleared within two hours.

  5. Don't know the practical, effective answer to clamping down on drivers driving revoked or suspended, or never had. But clearly what were supposed to be disincentives are just not working.
