  1. I hope my friend Matt Maciarello isn't pimping for Sarbanes now because this is what it appears to be.

If I find out that is the case then Matt Maciarello will be my soon to be ex friend.

  2. Can't recall seeing other news stories reporting on cases with the judge as the lead sentence! A little politics at work here?

  5. Between now and election time, Sarbanes will get his dockets pumped up with high profile cases.

  7. 1:24 Matt probably doesn't need friends like you.

  8. Could care less about politics. I'm glad this person was convicted and will lose his freedom for a very long time. I know the family and hope this will bring at least some comfort to them.

  9. Politics shouldn't and doesn't matter in a case like this. Great job to Matt, Jaime, and Sarbanes for nailing a felon to the wall. Well done all around

After this election with him promoting Spyros Sarbanes in his press releases he is going to need all the friends he can get if he wants to get re-elected.

You are congratulating a liberal Democrat now, but I have a feeling he will get much softer after the election. You seem to be a soft hearted liberal as well.

  13. 1:24 Matt gives the same "speech" after every major court case is tried. Go back and look at them over the years. It is exactly the same "thank you" press release with only the name of the law enforcement agency or prosecutor changed. He is not supporting ANY judge, let alone Judge Sarbanes. He HAS to get along with all of them, including District Court.

  14. This guy is the same tier level as the guy that runs around in the green truck trying to lure in girls. Shot them all, and let God sort them out!

  15. My vote will still be for MJ in November. You are right 137PM....very rarely do they name the Judge especially in the first sentence of the news article - sounds like a political motive to me!

  16. I agree that naming the judge is very unusual (have always felt it was to protect the judges, which I really had no problem with).

Didn't follow particulars of this case; confident the perp is a dirtbag but sentence seems long.

Got a feeling that judgejimmy will be a 'hanging judge' between now and November. Especially ironic given his numerous at bats as defendant. And just shows what a lousy and indefensible choice OweMalley made. Sickening!

  17. 5:27, is that the guy that uses his big Boxer dog to get girls to bend over and pet while he looks down their blouses? I think it is, he hangs around the mall on Fridays. Matt needs to go after this sicko!

  18. It seems as if sbynews is the only one who has mentioned the judge's name. I checked the other news ---they didn't mention the judge's name.

It is a press release directly from the State's Attorney office.

  20. honorable? seriously? what a freaking joke!

  21. So, the other media took the name out? Their articles are almost word for word, but no name.

You are full of crap. If Matt isn't supporting Jimmy Sarbanes then why did he even mention "Honorable Judge Sarbanes" on this big case. You think we are fools, but you are foolish. I noticed you even called Jimmy "Judge Sarbanes." So who is sucking up now!
