Making his first appearance in front of the cameras since his mugshot went viral, convicted felon Jeremy Meeks wore a bright orange jumpsuit, handcuffs and a stone-serious expression.
Meeks, who was arrested last month during a gang sweep in Stockton, Calif., faced multiple felony weapons charges. But during a brief court appearance in Stockton on Tuesday, the state agreed to turn the case — and Meeks — over to federal prosecutors, according to Sacramento’s KXTV. He is now in federal custody, the station reported, facing a single charge: “Felon in possession of a firearm.”
That one charge could lead to a prison term of 10 years and a fine of $250,000. San Joaquin County District Attorney spokesman Robert Himelblau said federal gun charges lead to longer prison sentences.

This is exactly what needs to be done to the creeps in Salisbury, federal charges on gun possession. It is laughable to see a known felon not be charged with it, instead we concentrate on stupid drug convictions, and drop the gun charges. Or we get a judge that sentences them to 15 years, which sounds good, then you see where the judge suspends all but 3 to be served!! In federal court on gun charges, you get and serve 10!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat idiots think he is hot? The biggest turn off should be the fact that he is a criminal.
