Dems pump up impeachment talk in appeal for support, campaign bucks

In a matter of days, Democrats looking to head off Republican gains in November have turned scattered talk of President Obama's impeachment into a sustained rallying cry -- even managing to fundraise off the perceived threat.

The campaign arm for House Democrats has been sending out a barrage of fundraising emails warning of the impeachment threat, and claims to have raised roughly $2 million in their latest push.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama have warned of that possibility on the stump. And a top White House official even said Friday “it would be foolish to discount” a bona fide impeachment push by Republicans.

  1. Democrats know that if they talk impeachment, it will get them votes in November.

They also know that if they can goad Republicans into voting for impeachment and they can "discuss" it without voting on it, it will get them votes in November.

They also know they would never actually vote for impeachment before November, and would vote against it the day after the November elections, thus assuring Obama another 2 years in the White House, and a continued Dem Majority in the Senate and maybe the house as well.

Then they would support Hillary or some other useless idiot in 2016.

And Boehner is ignorant enough to take the bait.

Don't let this happen, folks. Keep your fingers on the pulse of this one.

  2. Everyone knows impeachment is impossible because of the Senate. What is needed is arrest for treason by the military. Egypt got rid of their Muslim dictator; we can get rid of ours.
