How Much Do Blue Crabs Cost This Week?

This was posted on the Facebook page of the Baltimore Sun. Aren't you glad you live on the Eastern Shore?

  1. They cost a lot more if you live on the water in Wicomico County given the taxes and fees.

  2. You never miss a chance, 10:02! Surely you're not looking for "free" crabs.

  3. Nothing better with ice cold beer! The start of a great week-end. When you catch and steam your own it's really a fun time and very enjoyable feast!

  4. I wouldn't pay $293 for 3 bushels!! People are crazy.

Not looking for anything free, but if you want to pay my property taxes/flush tax etc, please feel free. Worked hard to buy and payoff my property to see increases every year from MD and Wicomico County. I comply with the state regs concerning crab pots from private property and if you calculate the cost per bushel by the amount of taxes/fees, it would be cheaper to have not worked and buy them with an EBT card.

Give it a rest dude what's done is done. I am more angry at the state of our rivers in this county. If Smallsbury would quit pumping human waste into our streams and rivers we would actually have some giant blue crabs like they have in the Carolinas. Ireton and Pollit better get together on this it is a sad state of affairs. If the city has one more "accidental" spill I swear I will get the best attorney from Baltimore I can get. I will sue Jimmy not as a Mayor but as a citizen. See if sovereign immunity covers him then. That goes for the crap plant manager as well. Joe would you eat a fish out of the lower river ??
